Will be staying at Caribbean Beach Resort and will be on deluxe dining plan. We'd like to have a breakfast at a table service restaurant but not at a buffet. Since we're going to Epcot and have a lunch and a late dinner planned we don't really want a full buffet breakfast. At the same time we want to enjoy a table service restaurant to make use of the deluxe dining plan. What table service options are there that arent' too far out of the way of Epcot.

The Wave has a really good breakfast with a choice between menu items or the buffet. It's normally very peaceful in there and the food has been excellent every time I've been.

Thats actually a great idea. I had forgotten about that option. We'd just have to hop on the bus to Hollywood Studios and then catch the boat for that.

What about Trattoria al Forno at the Boardwalk or Captains Grill at the Yacht Club? Both are a short walk to Epcot through the international gateway when you're done.

I second Captains Grill. Cape May is good but it's solely a buffet.

I third Captains Grille. They have ala carte and buffet and are right outside of Epcot so you can walk right over when you're done. I haven't had breakfast but have had very good meals at dinner.

Or walk if it's nice. It's only a 15 minute walk to YC.

Thanks for all the advice. Sometimes there seems to be so many options you aren't sure which to do. So having a little advice from on here can help to see a few of the options more clearly.

Another option, if you are in the mood, is Garden Grill. It is characters, but the food is served family style. It is very good!

Kona Cafe. You can walk or take the monorail to the TTC & go on the Epcot monorail from there.

For this day, you have gotten really good advice for breakfast. I am going to suggest that for some of your days you forego three TS meals. I would book a few signature meals for dinner, and a late breakfast or early lunch. Use one of the snacks to hold you over in between. We really like the dining portion of our trips, but we do not want to book three meals a day every day. There is a lot to be said for a leisurely meal at at resort either after the day is completed, or before you head back for fireworks, etc.

Captain's Grille wins for me over Trattoria al Forno because of the variety. There's a buffet and a fairly unusual breakfast menu by Disney standards. And it's almost never difficult to snag a morning reservation.

Apologies if I've missed this, but how are you traveling, and are you trying to make rope drop at Epcot?

I've really enjoyed both Captain's Grille and The Wave (I do buffets there, but I'm sure a la cartel is good, too.)

If it hasn't come up yet, CG is on the "back side" of Epcot, so if you go there before Epcot is open and are using Disney transportation, you'll need to bus to DHS and possibly walk to the YC. (I don't know how early the boats run.) After breakfast it's a short walk to the Int'l Gateway entrance to Epcot.

For the Wave, bus to MK and walk to the Contemporary, then Monorail>TTC>Monorail to Epcot.

I'd say Trattoria al Forno, we find the food quality to be fresher & the servers better. We've gone to CG a few times & the coffee was always cold & the food & servers rather listless. Just our opinion though.

Bus to HS and boat to Boardwalk area is actually the best option. We did that several times (from AKL) so that we could have breakfast at Captain's Grille, Trattoria al Forno and Fresh Mediterranean Market either before Epcot opened or because I didn't feel like walking from the front of Epcot all the way back. I know that one morning we got to HS just in time for the first boat about 7:45 am. This was in early December. I think that the boats start about 1 hour prior to opening of HS so the earlier HS opens, the earlier the boats run. You can also walk to the Boardwalk from HS in about 20-25 minutes but that's about the same as walking from the front of Epcot to the back which I wanted to avoid but it's an option if the boats aren't running, Epcot is closed or you don't want to wait for the boats.

We're going to be using the bus as none of us really want to have to rent a car. We've been thinking about maybe doing Monsieur Paul's for dinner as a signature dinner. So many great ideas for breakfast. I'm liking the Boardwalk area (Tratoria or Captain's Grill) idea a lot. The wave and then taking the monorail to epcot is also a great idea. At least we have a few options just in case we don't get the first choice reservation.
