So, I'd like to do a character breakfast one morning during our stay for DD7 and DS5 and I'm getting overwhelmed trying to decide. :headache: We've done CP several times, but would like to try something different this trip. So, any opinions - Ohana, 1900 Park Fare or Tusker House - or any others? :confused3 We only have one other character meal (Garden Grill - a staple on our ADRs). TIA!! :flower3:

CP and Tusker House are our two absolutely favorite character meals. TH has great food, the juice is YUMMMMMMMY and the character interaction is awesome.

Tusker House is our favorite. We enjoy the food and then we can skip a TS lunch at AK, where selections are limited anyway.

Of the 3 you mentioned, we have only done Ohana breakfast and we really like it. After going once, it became a "must-do" for us, though I'll admit that some visits have been better than others. It is still on our list every vacation though.

As for other recommendations...it sort of depends. Are you going to be at a park or going to one that day? If so, are you going to be in MK area, EPCOT, AK?

We like Ohana because it is close to MK but we don't have to have park admission. That is also a benefit to Chef Mickey's and Park Faire. We have done Chef Mickey's a couple of times - it is OK, but overall we prefer Ohana. We haven't made it to Park Faire yet, but I've heard great things about the dinner (not sure about breakfast).

We also haven't done Tusker House - but it sounds like a good choice if you were going to be at AK anyway.

There is always CRT at MK if you have never done it. We've gone twice and I actually enjoy the breakfast menu. Yes, it is expensive if you are doing it OOP and yes, it takes 2 credits if you're on DDP, so it may not be a feasible option for you (taking those things into consideration). If you've never been, IMHO, it is worth it to do once just to be in the castle - I think the dining room is lovely.

At DHS, there is the Hollywood and Vine breakfast - your kids might be on the older end for liking those characters (Little Einsteins and JoJo still I think?) and I don't know about the food. I haven't heard much about this one and we haven't done it in YEARS (since way before it was a Playhouse Disney theme).

Good luck! :wizard:

I think you'd be happy with either TH or 'Ohana. They're both very good. I hear mixed reviews about the food at 'Ohana, but it's been very good every time I've been there. I personally enjoy the family style service more than a buffet. Also, I love Stitch! You can't go wrong with TH either though. I've never had a bad experience there, and like someone else said, that juice is yummy!

We really like the food choices at 1900 Pk Fare, quite a variety, great for picky eaters. Character interaction is also fun there.

We also like Cape May Cafe. Not quite the same variety as Pk Fare but food is good and fresh and character interaction is good. I was not all that impressed with O'Hana's food.

I have reviews of both Pk Fare and Cape May with photos on my website if you'd like to check it out: www.disneydiningreviews.com

OH and FYI, GG is a great character meal. Probably the most relaxing of all of the character meals since you stay at your table the whole time (wish they'd bring back breakfast and/or lunch there).:thumbsup2

CP is our favorite breakfast buffet.
1900 PF is our second favorite. The food is great & they have fun characters.

Thanks for this - your recommendation and this thread has answered a question I was going to ask! Thanks again!

We've eaten @ Cape May twice now, and are hoping to make an ADR for breakfast in September this year. It has become our very favorite place to eat!

The buffet has a nice variety, and for some reason, the restaurant seems a little more quiet than other buffets... not sure why, though. The character interaction is very good; both times we've been, the characters made it around to our table a couple of times each.

We've also enjoyed 1900 PF this last year, and are planning to do it again this year. A little more loud and crazy than others, but lots of fun!

I have enjoyed eating at all three of your choices. The thing that I didn't enjoy? Being forgotten while waiting for my table at the Tusker House. I waited about fifteen minutes before saying something. I watched them take back about seven or eight two tops (I was by myself) who arrived after me. I just got a shoulder shrug. I'm giving it another try so hopefully it will be better on that front.

Thanks for all the tips and recommendations! :flower3: I think we're going to try for Tusker House, just to try something different. And like one PP said, we can do that for breakfast and then do a QS for our later meal, since choices are more limited at AK. And I can fit that into our schedule well. :goodvibes
