We are going to WDW in September and using the DDP for the first time. Can anyone tell me how the breakfast at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory is set up for use with the DDP? Is it a buffet or an ala carte type ordering situation? This is a CS credit I believe and was just wondering how to plan for this meal. Thanks!!!

We stay at POFQ and I will be honest with you we pay cash for breakfast. I take my own muffins and grab a piece of fruit to go with it. DH and DD eat breakfast but we only ever paid like $10 total for breakfast each day. It is a food court, so you go up to the window that has beignets and you can get those there. But there will be a window where you can get pancakes with sausage or bacon. Or waffles, Mickey shape of course. There will be a window that has eggs with sides, etc. We found that it was just better to save our CS for lunch or dinner later in the day. UNLESS you are on Deluxe dining plan!

If you chose to use your CS credit for breakfast, you would probably have to order the breakfast platters. They have pancakes with bacon or sausage. We are on the dining plan for the first time is a few weeks and don't plan on using the SC credit for breakfast. We are not big breakfast eaters, so it would be better to use it for lunch for us. DD and I usually share a breakfast, there is so much.

Everything in bold would be one CS credit; most of the rest would likely be available for a snack credit. At a breakfast CS you don't get dessert, but I've heard you are supposed to get juice in addition to another beverage.

My dh had a croissant breakfast sandwich nearly every morning of our stay. Enjoy your trip!

We usually pay for breakfast at the resort, and save the CS for lunch.
Breakfast seems to be less expensive, and that way, we can splurge a little on lunch.

Thanks for all the great input. Typically when we have been to WDW we just bring breakfast foods to eat in our room but now that we have the DDP I was worried about using CS for lunches and then being too full for our TS dinners since we'll get so much food. I thought breakfast might be an option on days we have 5pm or 5:50pm ADRs so we would use our CS early and spread the food out but it sounds like it's not really worth it. I think we'll just try and eat earlier lunches on the days we have early ADRs. Thanks again!!!

We typically got (and will get in about 14 days) 2 king creole platters (2 CS) for our family of 5 (kids 6,5, and 2). There really is enough food for eveyone. We didn't need extra drinks as we had a car and got water, etc at Wal-Mart. We sometimes would also get an order of beignets (1 SC) on top of that. This year we are arriving 2 days before our package and will rent a car in DTD to go to the store for water.

My mom usually gets up early and gets us all breakfast and brings it back to the room while we get ready. Will she have a problem getting the kids some breakfast and gerself with the dining plan. Do the kids have to be present. We are staying at the POR.

I'm assuming you'll be on the DDP. Is your mom staying in your room? If so, no problem. She just can't exceed the number of A or C credits listed on the card. For example, if you have 3A/2C listed on your room keys, she can get any combimation of CS meals up to 3A/2C meals. There's no requirement that all members of the party be present.

Last year, I frequently purchased meals for my dh and kids who were either sitting the food court or lounging in our room. I never bought all 4 meals at once, because I couldn't physically carry that much, so it was always various combinations of A and C meals, but never more than 2A or 2C at one time.

If you're not on the DDP, no problem. Your mom can purchase whatever she'd like for whomever she'd like. It's only on the DDP when you have to worry about how many A and C you have listed on your room key.

The way DH and I do it is to split a CS breakfast - some kind of platter, split a CS lunch and then use the TS credit for dinner. We usually use our snack credits to add fruit to breakfast.
