im wondering thoughts on best CS or stand breakfast items that we can get fast and eat on the go or relatively fast from the different parks. I'm not opposed to a Mickey pretzel in the morning & I know about MK Sleepy Hollow waffles and Gaston's cinnamon rolls. Any other suggestions? In the parks only please :)

We typically head to the Starbuck's as soon as we enter the park, but that line can build rather quickly. They have good grab-and-go items plus some hot breakfast sandwiches. If that doesn't appeal, in EP, there is a Joffrey's cart with pastries over by Ellen's Universe of Energy and one between UK and Canada in MK. If you head back to WS in EP, Les Halles in France has fantastic coffee and pastries and is usually very quiet in the mornings. May not be a good choice, however, if you are trying to get FW attractions done at RD.

I second in the room! We either Garden Grocer or ship those single serve cereal boxes, granola bars, usually yogurt and we eat on the fly while getting ready or in the car!

We eat in the room too. I pack paper bowls and plastic spoons and use the coffee maker to heat water for instant oatmeal that I bring with. We also bring cereal breakfast bars and granola bars. Sometimes we bring cereal and I grab milk in the gift shop at the resort. It's quicker, cheaper and since none of it is going home with us it gives us room for souvenirs.

Breakfast items in the room. Last time we ordered from Amazon and had pop tarts (not cool all the time, but it was vacation), granola bars, yogurt, applesauce and meat bars (seriously. They're meat granola bars minus the granola). I put them in the backpack and passed it out when people were hungry. It saved us So much time. Quick service breakfast aren't that great (not bad, just fine) but it causes us to have to build in way more time in our mornings. Id rather sleep and have a meat bar and apple sauce then get up an hour earlier for a quick service.

I am imagining what the meat bar must look and smell like right now...

I have to admit it sounds disgusting but my DH and DSs would probably love it! I guess it's not too far off from a Slim Jim and I've been known to eat those on occasion.

They were bacon Apple? They weren't bad. Lol. Little greasy. They weren't as processed as slim jims.

Please tell me more about where to buy these meat bars...

I am a big fan of fruit and yogurt for breakfast which you can buy with snack credits. You can get this just about anywhere in WDW.
In HS, Starring Rolls has something for everyone and it is quick.
In MK, The Main Street Bakery was infiltrated by Starbucks so you can get breakfast sandwiches there. They also have bagels, but I have not tried them personally, being a bagel snob.
i don't feel like the other two parks have anywhere particularly easy to get to and/or special. Especially AK, you really have to get fully into the park before there is food.

They have different flavors, but here's the link to one of them on Amazon.

Another vote for grabbing a quick bite in the room before heading out. We bring sliced breakfast breads ( banana, marble, pumpkin) from our grocery store bakery department. When we drive it's easy to bring along with other items such as granola bars and fruit cups. We were also able to bring the breads on the plane in a carry on bag.

On a related note, do all the snack-type places open when the parks open in the mornings? The day we're planning to be in MK, the park hours have changed and opening is at 7am for EMH/ 8am for everyone else. We want to be there for EMH, but now there won't be time for breakfast at our resort before hand. We'll probably have a snack in the room before we head out, but want to grab a waffle/cinammon bun or something mid-morning. What time does everything open - eg Gaston's/sleepy hollow? The Disney website won't tell me (only gives times for restaurants and quick service places.) Many thanks for the help.

Not all of the carts open when the park opens. But I'm not sure about the little grab and go places. By mid morning you should be fine.

Make your own in the room. Get some bagels, english muffins, bread and throw it in the toaster. Nuke some eggs and bacon or sausage and top with some cheese. Viola cheaper and no need to wait in line in the parks.
All of this...we'll do character meals from time to time, but never for breakfast. If we're up and not in our room we are in line or doing attractions, not sitting at breakfast. The return for what you get for your money at lunch and dinner is so much better than breakfast and breakfast is the easiest meal of the day to eat in your room or on the go.

We typically do breakfast in the room too. About once a trip, we will do CS at the resort and usually one character meal. Other than that, it is poptarts, muffins, fruit, cereal, or yogurt in the room. We rarely have pop tarts or muffins for breakfast at home so that is a treat for the kiddos even though it is just breakfast in the room.
