We plan on tenting from Oct 20-27. We are also getting the DDP. To maximize our credits and to cut down on the food we need to bring, what is a good breakfast option at the Ft.? We have 2 Adults and 1 child. We want to save our snack credits for the F&W Festival and plan on using a TS everyday for dinner.

Bring an electric frying pan with you and you will be able to do a lot. The pancakes that you just add water to and shake up are always easy. Bring some sort of bisquit or croissant and fry an egg, add a piece of ham and cheese, everyone is happy. We also like those breakfast casserole type things that you can buy in the freezer section. I can't think of who makes them. The ones that have sausage, potatoes, onions etc. All you do is heat up the mixture, add eggs and mix them together. I like those ideas better than cold cereal or danishes because they tend to be more filling and were not looking for lunch or snacks as early in the day. Have fun.

We use the Dining Plan everytime we go, and love it..! Unfortunately, the only place you can get a DDP breakfast at the Fort is Trails End - but it counts as a Table Service meal, not Quick Service (Counter). One option might be to go over to the Wilderness Lodge for breakfast at the Roaring Fork - they offer a QS Breakfast. We plan on having breakfast at the campsite, using our QS meals for lunch, and then have dinner with the characters for our TS meals.

Only 9 more weeks until we leave..! :thumbsup2

DisneyDad,

that is exactly what we plan on doing with the DP. We just can't figure out what to do for breakfast. We don't want to have to bring any cooking supplies, only snacks. But I also don't want to eat pop-tarts and donuts everyday for breakfast!

Like DDinOhio mentioned, you can use your Counter Service (CS) credits for breakfast at Roaring Forks at the WL. There are boats that run between FW/WL/Contemporary/MK pretty early in the morning. They have breakfast combos, eggs, pancakes, pastries etc that you can use CS credits on.

If you want to save CS credits, you can still purchase a decent quick breakfast at Roaring Forks that won't set you back as much as the Trail's End buffet

Also, at the Contemporary, the Food and Fun Center is a great quick service place.

There is a boat that arrives at the fort about 6:45 am. I usually start my day on that boat and have my banana, bagel, and juice there, then take transportation from the Contemporary to my ultimate destination for the day.

You can also purchase pastries and muffins alacarte from Trail's End.
