I have been eating eggs each morning for breakfast. I've had soft boiled and scrambled. Sometimes with bacon or cheese and sometimes plain. I'm sick of eggs for breakfst. Anyone have any quick, easy breakfast ideas? I don't want to get bored because then I will start to stray. Breakfast and snacks are the 2 things that I haven't mastered yet. any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

jomrog posted a recipe for French toastless on the recipe thred. It sounds so good!!! I've been dying to try it and tomorrow's the day!:bounce: I bought sugar free syrup to drizzle on it.

It's still basically eggs, but it might be just enough of a different taste for you.

The "danish" on the low-carb thread is a nice treat too!

I like to take slices of ham and spread cream cheese on them and roll them up! Or an Atkins shake. I also got tired of eggs, but have made deviled eggs a few times and I like that. (I take my b'fast to work with me - so that gets tough, because if I get hungry, I end up wth a headache.) I always have a bar in my purse - just in case

Sometimes I have crumbled hamburger with cheese...it is yummy...or I made deviled eggs ahead and eat those for breakfast...other times I will have ham and cheese roll ups! :) As Kath would say, You have to think outside the box and not just stick to normal breakfast items! :) The way I look at it is that anything I can eat at lunch or dinner, I can turn around and have for breakfast the next morning! :)

The other morning I was short on time and patience. As I was running out the door I cut a slice of cheesecake and took it for breakfast. It was made from the recipe on the Low Carb thread. It is cream cheese, eggs, sugar free syrup, sour cream, lemon juice and vanilla - and when made with syrup instead of Splenda it has even fewer carbs... It was really decadent to eat "cake" for breakfast but it was good...

Definitely try the mock danish. It is good. You can use DaVinci syrup (SF) to flavor it & sprinkle some cinnamon, too.

There are some good recipes on this website: http://www.locarbfriends.com

If you come across some good recipes or ideas, please share it with us.:p

Try pizza for breakfast. Cover a saucer with pepperoni slices, cover the pepperoni with mozarrella cheese and nuke about a minute until cheese is bubbly. It is good and amazingly filling.

Bean is correct, don't think just breakfast foods for breakfast. One morning I had left over shrimp scampi. My sil loves the mock danish, she assembles it at home but cooks it in the microwave after she gets to work. I love panfried pork chops or a steak cooked in a cast iron skillet for breakfast, too.

Once you are finished with induction you could even have a handful of macadamia nuts or smoked almonds. Make sure you weigh them, an ounce is plenty, especially with the macadamia nuts--they are very, very filling.

My husband likes to grab one of the Atkins breakfast bars to eat on the way to work or after he gets there. He's not much of a breakfast eater. You can't have those breakfast bars until after you finish induction, either.

Have you ever had a small salad with chicken or shrimp for breakfast. I love having salad for breakfast :teeth:

If "search" comes up I'll look for the other threads like this, here on WISH. There are several and they have some great breakfast ideas.

I actually eat a few sausage for breakfast each morning. I take a box to work with me and throw it in the freezer in my fridge, then nuke some each day. Check brands and labels though, some have more carbs than others. I also keep a bag of pepperoni in the fridge and always have an Atkins chocolate p-nut butter bar on hand. Any of those have worked for breakfast, too.
