Breakfast-morning of cruise

Hey all.. I have a question. We are going to stay at the Contemporary the night before the cruise. From my understanding, the bus will pick us up at the resort at 1030 or so to go to port. Is there a place we can do an early breakfast that is close to or at the hotel? We have Chef Mickey dinner reservations the night before.(We love dinner there) We have stayed many times on site(usually the Poly) but never at the Contemporary so I am at a loss. Do we even have time for breakfast? Should we do room service?

Any thoughts?

I may be wrong but I think you can arrange to be picked up at Animal Kingdom and get in the Breakfasterantasaurus(sp?) which is a totally cool character breakfast.

OH! We LOVE Chef Mickey's, so my vote is to go back for an 8:30 breakfast! We love the breakfast probably more than the dinner.....Just keep the party going!

I'm not a huge Chef Mickey's fan... and since you'll be eating dinner there the evening before, how about an early breakfast at 'Ohana with Stitch and Mickey over at the Polynesian? It's only a monorail ride away! There's always the Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary as well.

Will the DCL bus pick you up at the Contemporary? My friend wanted to stay there in May and they told her the DCL bus doesn't make a stop there, she would have to be picked up at the Poly or GF.

If they eat at Restaurantasaurus at AK they will need Park admission, that might not be a viable option.

As far as I know, DME (Magical Express) doesn't pick up at Contemporary. You may have to take a bus to another disney hotel for transportation to the port. The hotel that has DME are GF, AKL, BC, Poly, Swan, Dolphin, POR, POF, and CB.

As for breakfast, I believe resort restaurants start serving breakfast as early as 7:45am.

Maybe I will schedule a limo. Can anyone give a good recommendation?
Hubby is a clean freak and I need good service. I am guessing it is about $150.00 from the hotel to the Port..?

I thought I had seen somewhere that the PS dining people will supply you with a special pass so you can get an early beakfast and meet the bus to the port. I will have to call because I was hoping to do this next year.

My favorite place to eat breakfast in all of WDW is Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge. It is a short boat ride from the Magic Kingdom. You should find getting there from the Contemporary Resort very easy.

I don't think so. DCL pick up at Animal Kingdom Lodge but not at WL.

Ok I just called Disney and they confirmed that yes they do pick up at the Wilderness Lodge for the cruise. I was starting to panic there for a second because we are staying there the night before our cruise. We did the same thing last year and it worked out great. We have breakfast at the Whispering Canyon before they pick us up and I love it there!!

I'm not 100% sure about this, but maybe you can also arrange to have your bags transferred to the hotel that DCL has a bus pickup ? That is... if you want to buy the transportation svc that DCL provides. (Depends on the number of people in your party, disney's transportation maybe cheaper.)

If you want something light, there is a cafeteria style place in the Contemporary, like all the other resorts.
