We'll be at DL May 30-June 3 staying at the DLH. In the past, we've had trouble finding places to eat breakfast on the way to the parks. We LOVE La Brea, but it seems to open the same time DL does, and we like to get to the gates before park opening, so that doesn't work. Any suggestions on places we could count on to grab a quick bite to eat either at the DLH or in DTD that would be open at least an hour before park opening? DL opens at 9am while we're there, if that helps. Thanks!

Whitewater snacks at the GC. Its not far off the path, has good food and decent prices. I've heard Granvilles at the DLH is a good breakfast option, but havent tried it myself. Not sure it would be quick though, as it is a full service restaurant. Might take a look at this site for more ideas http://www.dlresortinfo.com/downtowndisneymenus/DTDmenus.html

In case you might be interested, it looks like Mimi's Cafe (across the street from the park entrance) opens at 7:00a.m.

No trip to Disneyland is complete for me unless I go to Rainforest Cafe for breakfast. I think they start serving at 7.

Mimi's also makes excellent breakfasts as well, but I eat there at home all the time so don't ususally do it when I go to Disneyland.

There is the little coffee shop next to Goofy's Kitchen also. It has pastries, fruit and espresso drinks, if I remember correctly. It had way less of a line than La Brea bakery when we were there last. I don't know what time it opens at.

Another vote for Rainforest Cafe (if you want sit-down). I had a yummy waffle and DH had a very good omelette. Kind of expensive, but what isn't at Disney?

For a quick bite, the breakfast burrito at White Water is my all time favorite. One burrito with a fruit plate split for two people is plenty and under $10 (drinks exta).

Give them a try! :thumbsup2

Like PP, I get the Breakfast Burrito all the time at Whitewater Snacks! It is great and only $4.99. They also have a Egg McMuffin type sandwich for $4.99, and French toast sticks that are really good for $3.99. Best place to eat breakfast on property for the value, and they open at 7am.

Just don't have a Jamba Juice! Both my dh and dd had one and got sick. It was a mix of all the juice and heat :confused3

Rainforest Cafe is awesome for breakfast! I should tell you though that their portions are HUGE so you should plan on sharing. We ate there for the first time in April and had no idea how big the meals were. We ended up wasting a lot of food!

Mmm....Mimi's has the BEST french onion soup and their breakfast is good (love the pain perdue breakfast (french toast stuffed with cream cheese and orange marmalade). Yumm! Now I'm hungry!!

Thank you so much for all the suggestions! I can't believe we've been to DL as many times as we have and even stayed at the GC and didn't know about White Water Snacks! I LOVE breakfast burritos, so we will definitely go check those out. And from what I've been reading on other posts, we'll have to stop by there for lunch one day as well. :)

We enjoy Granvilles for breakfast. It's in the Disneyland Hotel, next to Goofy's kitchen. The child's menu is very affordable.

ahhh....no trip to DTD is complete until you have some beigne's...bignee's...oh, however you spell that - those french/NewOrleans doughnuts smothered in powdered sugar! You get them at Brennans Express, but I'm not sure how early they open. Great eye-opening coffee too!

I believe Coco's is right down the street from PPH. If I am not mistaken it is open all night and serves decent food. We walked down there one night when we stayed at the DLH. It was pretty good.

Hope this helps. :coffee:

Nope, anyone can eat at the DLR hotels!
