I've just read the following regarding the railroad.

Tips
If you're staying at the Newport Bay Club, the Sequoia Lodge, the Hotel Cheyenne or at the Hotel Santa Fe, you'll get the benefit of having the chance to enjoy your breakfast at Fantasyland before the park officially opens in the morning. The only way to get to your breakfast buffett, is boarding the Disneyland Railroad at Main Street, U.S.A., which will bring you to directly to Fantasyland. This gives you also the chance to get an early morning view onto a peaceful Frontierland and the undisturbed jungles of Adventureland.

Questions ..... How do you opt for breakfast here?
Is breakfast before 8am?
I thought railroad opened at 12.30pm each day?

From whT I've read, fantasyland is best for emh, is this right?

omg that tip must be at least 5 years old - and its completely out of date now :goodvibes!

you can still choose breakfast in the park if you are staying onsite at the Santa Fe, Cheyenne, Sequoia Lodge or Newport Bay Club hotels. You must ask when you check in at your hotel, its not always available, it may be only certain days of your stay, and it doesn't start until after 8am.

The railroad has nothing whatsoever to do with breakfast in the park anymore, you walk into the main park then walk to whichever restaurant is open that morning for breakfast in the park, with your timeslot voucher which you are given at your hotel, instead of a timeslot for your hotel restaurant breakfast.

Since they brought in EMH regularly, the best way to combine EMH and breakfast in the park is to go to the park for 8am, and ride all the rides in Fantasyland and Discoveryland which are open (not all of them are, and the other 2 lands, Frontierland and Adventureland, are not open at all until 10am). Then go for breakfast in the park at 9.15 or later (ask for this timeslot at your hotel when you are asking about breakfast in the park), when its starting to get busier on the EMH rides :).

Of course, you might be a morning person, and prefer to go for breakfast at your hotel each morning at 7.15ish, so you're ready to hit the parks for EMH at 8am and no stopping til lunchtime ;).

Sounds great, I have two questions regarding this:-

* Does this cost any extra?

*Where is the breakfast had?

no it doesn't cost extra, its instead of breakfast at your hotel (so similar breakfast food choices as at your hotel) :). Its usually at either the Plaza Gardens, Chalet au Marionette, or Pizzaria Bella Notte. Disney decide which restaurant will be open for breakfast on which morning.

Hmmm, something worth noting! I don't like eating breakfast early (but love to get in the parks early!) so that may be a great idea!

Cheers for that!
