Breakfast Dining Ideas?

We need some ideas for breakfast dining for our June trip. While we would prefer character--we have 4 kids, we are open to anything. We are considering the Cape May Buffet. Any insights? Thanks!

Our fav is Crystal Palace breakfast in MK. Characters dance around and go to every table. At least they did when we were there. We really thought the food here was great too. If you go around 11 a.m., you will miss the early breakfast crowd and the noon lunch crowd. Although in June it is liable to still be crowded. Crystal Palace also has a "kids" buffet section so the kids can get their own food at thier level.

These are Pooh characters. If you are looking for specific characters, you may want to find out which character breakfast features those characters.

(Animal Kingdom has Donald's breakfast with goofy, donald, etc.
Cinderella's Royal Table has princess characters, and I think thier is even a villains character meal, but I'm not sure where, maybe Grand Floridian)

We have never done Cape May Cafe for breakfast, but are trying this year because we have read such great things about it and the character interaction (we are adults...but have friends coming who have never been and we want them to see Minnie, Chip and Dale, etc.). We never miss breakfast at the Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends (Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet). It is one of our three must do restaurants on every trip. Chef Mickey's is good for breakfast as well (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy & Pluto appear). We used to do the one at Polynesian when it was Minnie's Menehue breakfast with Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale. I belieive it is now Ohanas and the character is Stitch--we do not like Stitch so we haven't gone so I can't tell you how the food is. If you have girls, there is the breakfast at Epcot in Norway (Akershus Royal Banquet Hall). We ate lunch there--it was okay (weren't fond of the variety of food), but understand the breakfast is very good. The princesses that were there when we were included: Belle, Jamine, Ariel, Alice in Wonderland and Pochantas.

We have 2 that we love... my kids are DD18 and DS14...15 in a week... she loves the Princesses and he loves Tigger.... so for us it is CRT and Crystal Palace. We love the food at CRT... and even my son likes it there. One thing that I have noticed is that even though he is a teenage boy the Princessess still come over to him... the tease him.... and he gets up and takes photos with them... we are talking about a young man who is a real cutie.... very popular in school..... great athete, student, musician.... loves to have fun... same at CP... the characters are great.....

Cape May was pretty good. They have a huge buffet. They have your usual eggs, bacon, etc. but then they also have a yogurt bar, cereral station, fruit area and a few other items you normally would not find at other breakfast places. The bread pudding was very good!

I second that! It is a must do for our departure day on every trip

We like Crystal Palace at MK. I make reservations prior to park opening, this way I can get a picture of my boys in front of the castle without strangers in the background. Pooh & friends are great, good interaction with everyone. They have a parade through the restaurant with the kids & the kids have a great time. Good food.

O'hana's at Poly is wonderful. Our DD's love it and always have a very good time. They have stitch, lilo, mickey and pluto. While Chef Mickeys is a lot of fun the food for us was nothing worth doing again. Big selection, but not very good...character interaction was alright though.

We have 2 favorites.

1) Cape May - has characters. This restaurant seems more relaxed than most character meals. Also, they have a good variety of items to choose from.

2) Boma at AKL - does not have characters. Boma seems to have the most extensive variety of all the restaurants we have visited for b'fast. The Frunch is exquisite.

We agree! Best breakfast ever. Our kids like going around the resort and looking at the animals....no characters though.

I would suggest going to Crystal Palace, especially if you enjoy Pooh and his friends. Not only do the characters dance around but they invite the children in the restaurant to participate in a parade. The food is also good there and the restaurant I think is beautiful.

2 questions, do you have a car and where are you staying? Getting from resort to resort is not always the easiest thing to do (or the quickest) without a car.

If you dom the resorts have some good breakfasts, if not, I would try to stick with the parks.

We are staying at Fort Wilderness, and we have a car. We traditionally eat at the Crystal Palace, and have Father's Day ressies at CRT already. We have done Chef Mickey's, although not for breakfast. We have a teenage daughter, and 3 younger sons. They are easy to please! Thanks for the ideas, please keep them coming!

Cape May is a good breakfast choice then. The characters are all in their bathing suits. Goofy is rather goofy looking, I have to say!

Kona cafe is not a character breakfast, but it is the home of Tonga Toast
