We would like to do a character breakfast on our MGM day and are trying to decide between Cape May or Hollywood & Vine. DS is 4, so both sets of characters would appeal to him. We'll be staying at POFQ, so we would drive over to the BC, eat and then drive to MGM. H&V would be more convenient since it's right there in the park (and we would just used the buses), but I hear the food is probably better at Cape May (right?). Which would you do? Is Cape May worth it to go that much out of our way or is the breakfast at Hollywood & Vine sufficient enough so that the convenience of it makes it worth while?

I have not tried the breakfast at Hollywood and Vine.....or the Cape May but we are going to Cape May this trip....(leave on Wed) for the first time. I posted a thread about Cape May and got great reviews on it. I will post it here for you. I know Hollywood and Vine would be right there for you at MGM so that might be the better choice but I have no idea how the food is. Good Luck

Go take a look at the Restaurant Review board, there are some fabulous H&V breakfast reviews there.

We ate at Cape May and it was fine - standard WDW breakfast buffet fare. I have never eaten at H&V, but for convenience alone, I would pick it if you are spending the day at MGM. A special trip to Cape May for breakfast is not worth it. We only went because we were staying at BWI and could walk there.

I would def go out of my way for Cape May, we think it is the best character breakfast. THe food is awesome, the characters spend alot of time with you and if you go around 8 or early the place is super quiet.

I think the breakfast and the surroundings at CMC are better but the interaction with the characters is much better at H & V. It's louder and my grand children loved it. They dance around with the Little Einsteins. Your best bet is H & V.

I have eaten at Cape May and would have to say that it was the worst breakfast that we have done. I haven't done Hollywood and Vine so I can't talk about it. But my opinion would be to stay away from Cape May.
