Hello -

This is our first trip to DLP and we are going to be staying at the Newport the first week of July. The hotel appears to be fully booked while we are there. It doesn't seem that we can make a table reservation for the breakfast and wondering what advice DLP veterans have for the mornings. We obviously want to be well prepared for rope drop.

Your package has no breakfast included? And just to check: are you staying concierge?

You can always try to add breakfast when you check in, otherwise, Starbucks in the village opens at 8, Relay at the train station should also be open by then (keep in mind for this you have to go through security again) and when park opens at 8:30, the bakery on Main Street should also be open.

I do not remember, but I thought all rooms in NPB have a fridge. You could pick up some snacks at Relay at the station, sandwiches, yoghurts etc and refrigerate them the evening before.

I should have added that we have Half Board so breakfast is included: we are not staying concierge just regular rooms. i'm just worried that we won't be able to get in and find a table if we don't have a reservation?

I know a lot about DLP, but meal plans are not my area of expertise. So I hope someone else can help :) In the olden days, when you had breakfast included you could pick a breakfast time at the hotel restaurant at check in.

What I did read with some googling, was a message from May 2022 about how if the restaurant is full for breakfast, an extension in one of the conference centers in NPB is used.
Not sure if this e-mail address still works, but you can give it a try: dlp.npb.front.office@disney.com

As you know 1/2 board is Bed Breakfast and sit down Dinner

At check in you will be asked What times do you wish to have your meals at ?

You name your times AND that is the same time for your stay

If you say 7am for breakfast then there MAY be a wait Time if you turn up at 8. am

If you say 7pm for Dinner there is NO point in turning up at 6 pm ............ 7pm is your time

There is no reservation for breakfast. At check-in, they'll ask you what time you want to eat. But when we were there 3 weeks ago and told them 7am, they just gave us random colored cards and told us the time printed on the cards doesn't matter. Next morning hubby went by himself at 7:20am even though the card had 9am. There was no issue, he walked right in. A little tip though if you're not early morning people is to wake up and head directly over to park / studio for EMH. Then either you come back to Newport to eat (breakfast is until 11:30!) or if you don't want to come all the way back, you can get a nice American breakfast at Annette's Diner until 11:30am (though the value is lower at Annette's which was OK for us as we got breakfast included for free). This then means we didn't have to eat lunch and can make sure we make it to EMH.

Thank you all for the information. Really helpful - Standardgirl that is fantastic advice and had never even thought of breakfast aside from the hotel. Thank you!

We are starting to get very excited for our trip!
