Maybe the High unemployment and bad economic conditions have slowed travel at FW. I know we skipped last year because of this. Las Vegas is very bad off also. We will be there this fall, as far as going to a Resort its still a good price..
WE had one where we live but it closed down. Would love to go back.
Thanks for the information. I will not be going there to eat. Where is Golden Corlal???

And, how about that, we were both right about Trail's End takeout! So, what is the status now? Is there take out for breakfast and lunch?TCD
.
It's sad that at a campground you can't even get a burger or hot dog.
Oh contrar - there is never a shortage of burgers or hot dogs at the fort. I just cruise the loops and look hungry. Sometimes, to accomodate my fellow campers, I bring my own buns.
Sorry I didn't get back sooner on this Andrew. No takeout for breakfast and lunch - except for the pastries for breakfast. You still have to visit the Meadow(s) snack bar for QS meals.

When they re-modeled Roaring Forks & the QS at the Grand Floridian, they ruined both of them IMHO. Roaring Forks used to have a "Chef's Special" every evening that, no matter what was being served, was over the top good. We especially loved the turkey & mashed potatoes on Saturday nites, and I loved the cheesesteak sandwich. We'd drive over from home just for those. I also miss terribly when you could drop into Crocketts for some wings, or chicken strips, or a slice of pizza, or a strawberry shortcake they would bring over from the HDDR. Then there were the days that Crocketts was a full service restaurant. Pricey? Yes! But always delicious.
