We're doing this next month...I've scanned the dining reviews and can't find any reviews of breakfast at The Wave, let alone the buffet.

Can anyone share a breakfast review or point me to one? Thanks! :)

we were there in August for breakfast- the day we went to BB- fantastic....walked right in about 9:15ish, no reservation, no wait....

we did not have the buffet rather ordered off the menu- i had the sweet potato pancakes- amazing....really good food at a very reasonable cost...

We've enjoyed lunch at The Wave, but when I saw a buffet menu with smoked salmon (DH's favorite), I had to book breakfast.

Loved the breakfast buffet when we were there in June. It's a nice quiet buffet and I thought the service was amazing. One of the servers didn't show up that morning and they apologized it took a while for them to seat us (it only took about about 8 minutes tops). The manager was there helping to clear the tables and bring the drinks - the buffet included 2 drinks per person, so we each had a warm drink plus a juice.
The buffet offering were all fresh and delicious. My favorites were the cheesy grits with bacon. We don't eat grits over here so I can't compare them to anything, but I have a feeling they aren't the way other places make them.

We really think that this is one of the best deals on property. We paid OOP and since we are DVC we received 10% off.

Thanks for the info! I saw those cheesy grits on the menu and think I might try them, even tho I'm not really a grits gal...but a cheese and bacon combo always calls my name, LOL!

Our one and only meal at the Wave was excellent, and we also noted how good the service was. Another WDW best-kept secret.

I think grits is more of a Southern thing, but we really enjoyed them.

The sweet potato pancakes go with this special nut butter which was also very special.

Enjoy!

NOTE: This is a new location for a breakfast buffet. The
buffet has significantly increased its variety, and now is
very much worth the visit. At just under $20 per adult, it
is extremely reasonable for a WDW buffet. For breakfast,
it's probably the best-kept dining secret.
It has Mickey
waffles and delicious sweet potato pancakes. They use
local fresh fruit and vegetables. For those with a smaller
appetite, one can do the usual ala carte breakfast menu.

Another thumbs up from us. Ate the breakfast buffet in May and loved it so much, we went back for breakfast on our last morning. Quiet, not rushed, great value, excellent food.

Thank you RustyScupper and K9Pal. I was afraid they might have discontinued the buffet, since I couldn't find much info (it is still mentioned on WDW website, but we all know how inaccurate that can be, LOL).
