Breakfast at Trails end possible?

Is there any way to get to trails end for breakfast and for those of you who have gone, is it crowded at opening time??

We'll do Trails End for breakfast when we're spending the day at MK. We take the boat from there over to Ft Wilderness and the Trails End is about 200 yards straight up the trail from the boat dock.

I think how busy depends on the time of year and probably which day, but we've never really had a problem (that includes in the past when we stayed at the campground in the cabins), as long as a 10-15 minute wait doesn't bother you. If you know when you're going to go, just make an ADR. You should probably allow yourself 1/2 hour from MK to Ft Wilderness.

I am not sure when Trails End opens in the morning. But if you are going more than an hour before MK opens, you can take the MK early morning breakfast bus from your resort (starts running about 6:30). Tell the driver you need to go to the CR. He MAY be able to drop you off, or you can walk to the CR. Take the boat from CR to FW (starts at about 6:45AM).

We were the first ones there last week. It opens at 7:30am. We had a car so we drove over and then took the internal bus.

we had the same experience as betterlatethannever..lots of people are going early to chef mickeys so usually there is someone else on the bus that wants to go to the contemp. we just asked if the bus to mk was the best way to get to the cont. and he said "just stay on the bus and i'll take you" then a made an announcement to that effect for any others. love those kindly cm drivers! this probably works best if you are early since they are not as busy, close to park opening they may not have the time to do it. coming back just take the boat to mk...we always to to te for brkfst on mk day, get there around 7:30 and have plenty of time( we go off season)

i think the mk-fw boat starts runs a little later than the buses so it may be too late to take you to fw directly from mk dock

It would probably be best to make an advance dinning reservation (priority seating or what ever they are calling it now) if you want to get in at a specific time. We have waited as long as 45 minutes in the past.

We've done the same thing a couple of times. It's a great way to start off our MK day. We've never had to wait for a table....EVER. We've always gone around 9 am.
