Hi all,

we will be staying at the boardwalk this October...just wondering how the breakfasts are like at Spoodles.

Thanks.

We ate breakfast at Spoodles 2 years ago during xmas week. We had no adr and walked in around 9:15 and were seated immediately. We had fresh fruit platter to share (DH and me). Then we had breakfast platter for two which was wonderful. Eggs, potatoes, french toast, bacon, and sausage. If was all you could eat and all delicious. It was like a buffet without having to get it yourself. OJ and coffe rounded it out. It was very relaxing and waiter was super informative(we had meal vouchers from hotwire and they told us how to make the most of them-these, alas no longer exist). Granted by that time most folks who are going to a park have already eaten and are on their way. We were doing a shooping morning at DTD before evening at Epcot.

Hey are you looking for a "back-up" place to Cape May (I saw you posted on the other thread) :teeth: ...anyway, just to let you know, Spoodles is a thumbs up on our list :thumbsup2 . It's a nice relaxing breakfast with nice menu selections.

Just make sure to make an ADR. This breakfast tends to be "quieter" than others but I can tell you when were there in May it didn't seem busy but they were on a 45 min. wait if you didn't have an ADR (we did and we were late, but they said it didn't matter, they'd seat us within 5 minutes)...I saw a lot of empty tables but I think they sit the tables according to the amount of staff they have on hand and I have a feeling they base that on the amount of ADR's (and some possible walk-ins), so make sure to make ADR's for this one. ;)

Just to throw out a conflicting opinion, we were extremely disappointed with our meal at Spoodles. We made an ADR for breakfast and arrived early, but we didn't need one. There was only 2 or 3 other tables of guests in the entire place.

As for the food... I had the pancakes and they were awful, I ate about 2 bites and couldn't force anymore. My best friend was with us and ordered the All American Breakfast. It was okay, but she wasn't impressed. Fortunately for me, she had gastric bypass surgery not long ago so she wasn't able to eat it all, so I helped with the potatoes and sausage. DP ordered the waffles and was less than impressed. He said he had better at the ASMo food court.

Service: was horrible that morning. When we checked in for our ADR, we were told it would be just a couple of minutes. (Recall there are only a couple of tables of guests in the entire place). No biggie though, it only took about 10 minutes to get our table. Well, the server came out and took our drink order, brought the drinks and took our food order. After that, we didn't see her again for about 45 minutes (when she finally brought the food back out). We were thinking... how long does it take to scramble some eggs, cook some waffles, and some pancakes. After she brought the stuff out, we didn't see her again until she brought the check. We never got refills on drinks, and she never came back to ask how things were. I had even expected she might ask me about the pancakes that were hardly touched. She didn't.... and it reflected in the tip. I almost didn't leave anything.

On a more positive note... we had the pizza from the window the next night and it was wondeful!

For us, Spoodles is completely off the list for breakfast; however, we might try dinner sometime. We prefer Kona and are trying WCC, Olivias and Boma for breakfast in October.
