I need some help with Breakfast at POP Century. My dad will joining us this trip and we're going to be on the DDP. We usually split a CS at POP for breakfast and get one of the platters.. but that will not work for my dad. He doesn't eat anything fried, like the eggs, pancakes, etc. BAsically, his normal breakfast would either be poached eggs with whole wheat toast, or a bagel with a little cream cheese or smoked salmon, or oatmeal or bowl of cereal and some fruit.. get the idea?

Now I already checked and there's no way they can do poached eggs.. only the usual scrambled. And though I am wracking my brain, I can't remember what fruit there is at POP except for the banana I would buy daily.

Please, if anyone who has been there recently can help, do you think there is any way I can somehow work a CS for my dad for breakfast, considering the limited items he can pick from?

I know they have cereal... but do they have bagels? Whole wheat toast? What counts as a CS? ONly the platters? I hate to think we would have to pay OOP and remain with leftover CS credits... anyone remember what fruit is available at POP for purchase, other than bananas and fruit cups? Also, anyone able to use a snack credit for the fruit cups?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yogurt Parfait with Granola $3.79
Fruit Cup $2.99
Oatmeal $2.49

Those might be choices for him.

we had bagels at the other resorts, so I hope that they have bagels there too. I know they have some type of soft cereal but I think they called it grits. How about you bringing the individual packages of oatmeal from home and you can just add the boiling water that is next to the coffee machine.

i was trying to see how we could make a counter service out of the options they have there, instead of paying OOP. I didn't want to remain with 10 unused CS credits at the end of our stay.

I wonder if they'll let us make CS out of any of those options.

I have no idea about the DDP, but they do have good oatmeal :) I'm guessing though that a small fruit cup and an oatmeal cup could be a CS.

They also have some yummy malted waffles, if your Dad would eat those, as they aren't really fried like a pancake.

Yes they do have bagels in the self serve case at Pop. I just saw them there saturday morning. They also have some packages with assorted cut up fruit in it. The cinnamon rolls there are wonderful too and they are not fried

They do have bagels and muffins, fruit cups, that sort of thing.

My go-to breakfast is either the Mickey Waffles or the cherry pastry they have in the self-serve area. Both are must-haves to me.

I'm not sure if they have them at Pop, but the other resorts I've stayed at has the most delicious cut fresh fruit! I think the container has sliced oranges, grapes, watermelon, and maybe another type of melon (honeydew or cantelope?).

I thought I saw the standard whole fruits - apples, bananas, oranges, as well as containers of purple grapes.

There are lots of healthy alternatives for CS breakfast at POP, but you may need to ask the CM for help the first day or 2 - things just aren't as clearly posted as the breakfast platters.

For 1 CS I have gotten for breakfast:
cereal/fruit cup or 1 pc. or fruit(apple,orange,banana,grapes)/drink
bagel/fruit cup or 1 pc. of fruit/drink
bagel/yogurt/drink
oatmeal/fruit cup or 1 pc. of fruit/drink
oatmeal/wheat toast/juice
croissant/fruit cup or 1 pc. of fruit/drink

If you'd like to just use snack credits, for 1 SC I have gotten:
Yogurt parfait
Fruit cup or piece of fruit
Croissant
Whole wheat toast with peanut butter, jam or honey
Bagel
Muffin
I usually just grab one of the above and refill my POP mug, then I'm
ready to jump on the bus! :thumbsup2

But most importantly, don't be afraid to ask a CM what combinations you can make. :)

They have bagels, cream cheese, fruit cups, yougurt and granola, whole wheat bread (that you can toast), among the other breakfast items.

Thank you all for your help.

Even though I've been to POP a bunch of times, I usually only eat breakfast there my last day, and get a platter. Other than that, I just breeze through in the morning to get a banana on my way to the bus!
