This will be our first time staying at Coronado Springs. I've read some negative reviews of the Pepper Market. I'm wondering about breakfast (about 7:30). Is it crowded? Any good suggestions?

We stayed there last year (late Sept/early Oct) and ate breakfast in the Pepper Market one day. It was around 7:30 and while there was a good crowd, we had no trouble finding a table.

We stayed there at the end of June, and it wasn't very busy at all. We were there around 7-maybe a bit after. They were maybe 1/3 full. It was yummy though!

We went last aug and had a great breakfast there, tons to choose from but it can get costly. The best was the biscuits and gravy (for DH) but the fresh fruit was incredible!

The food is good there they only thing we didn't like is the way the run it. It's not owned by Disney. Also they wouldn't let my DH get his coffee until we were all there. Now he told them we were on our way. I'm not a coffee drinker but he is big time. He was freaking :lmao: that he clouldn't get his coffee in his Coronado mug. We can't stay there anymore DH says. :rotfl2:

We stayed there in October 2007 and had no problems. The most crowded we ever saw the place was one night around 7pm and even then there were several tables available.

The only small issue we had was that the hosts had a hard time understanding us...I don't know if it was a language barrier issue or what but on two occassions we said we wanted to take our food "to go" and they stamped our cards for "Eat In" service. Although to be honest, it worked out better that way because they have several food stations and everything is made fresh right there. Once we saw the food, we were happy to sit down and enjoy it!

I really liked it there though once I got the hang of it!

We ate breakfast there several times while we were there. But I did find it a bit confusing. Our last day we had the buffet at the restaurant next door (for the LIFE of me its name escapes me at the moment...). We liked it MUCH better. So much so, in fact, we went back the next day too!

You tell them at the podium that you want your meal TO GO. The card they give you to be stamped at each station will have a big TO GO stamp at the top. At the stations however I agree there can sometimes be a bit of a language barrier, but a smile goes a long way, as does a "por favor" or "gracias".

There are lots of options for breakfast at Pepper Market, or you can try the breakfast buffet at the Maya Grill next door. Personally I prefer PM over Maya for breakfast, as scrambled eggs on a buffet don't really thrill me. I can get that anywhere.

I didn't eat there this week, but I walked by it every morning on the way to my classes. At around 7:30, there weren't many people in there, but the times I walked by around 8:30 or 9, it was packed!

Me and hubby ate there...was sooo good, a tad pricey..but much better than the Maya grill personally!!
They had this egg omlete thingy..omg!! So huge!! So yumm-o!!

Thanks so much for all of your replies. This is why I love these boards. You get your question answered and also find out all kinds of other useful information. It sounds like we will try it.

don't agree with the quote about Maya Grill, it just proves how we all have different tastes, personally I think the Pepper Mkt at breakfast is about as average as counter service breakfasts get and way overpriced. However, we love the Maya Grill buffet, honestly I think it is the best breakfast buffet on WDW. If I didn't have two children her still enjoy character meals I would eat there every morning. The fruit buffet is excellent, the pastries fresh and flavoursome, the cooked breakfast very good and the breakfast burritos and patatas bravas YUM. Just going to drool over the menu now!!!!

We plan on going to the Pepper Market on our MK day (driving). What time should we plan on breakfast if we want to make rope drop at 9AM? Does it take a while since you have to go to the different stations?

Bumping to get the answer to the last question re. what time to go to The Pepper Market for breakfast and still make rope drop.
