Breakfast at 'Ohana or The Wave?

That sounds like a cat poster, but it's true

Both breakfast menus appeal to us, but we only want to do one. We are going to both later in the week for dinner.

Which would you choose, and why?

Ohana has Characters - Wave does not. Ohana gets backed up. Wave does not. personally I like the theming at Ohana more. Good luck!

The Wave breakfast is our absolute favorite meal on property and usually the only TS breakfast we do. That being said, the two are completely opposite experiences so it depends what you're looking for. If you want something highly themed, more kid-friendly, AYCTE, characters, etc, go for 'Ohana. If you want more subtle, but still beautiful, theming and a quieter meal, go for the Wave.

Some other things:
- The Wave does have a buffet as well, but we usually order off the menu.
- Even though the Wave is quieter, I don't mean to say it's stuffy or not kid friendly (not sure who's in your party). There are always families there.

All that being said, if I were you I'd probably pick 'Ohana since you will be doing both for dinner later in the week. I'd want to experience 'Ohana for two meals rather than the Wave since the two meals seem to be two different experiences at 'Ohana more than they are at the Wave. The Wave is the same restaurant throughout the day whereas 'Ohana has the character aspect in the morning but not at night.

These are just my thoughts. :) It really depends what you're looking for!

Myadventurebook said it perfectly! I agree with them completely. Do you have children? If so, definitely Ohana for breakfast!

Happy Planning!

Oh yes, I forgot about the characters. Thanks for the reminder! My kids don't really like meeting or even waving at characters.

Thanks for the things to consider. We love the wave for lunch and dinner, so we thought we'd try something new. We'd likely go with the buffet.

Thanks! We do have 2 kids. They like an upbeat atmosphere, and the AYCTE would be helpful since they can put away their weight in sausage.

Food at The Wave breakfast is hands down about a million times better than breakfast food at 'Ohana...food quality there at breakfast has gone way down in recent years. We love the Wave, plus it's quiet and usually no trouble at all to get a table!

Thanks lemondog, that's what it really boils down to -- which one has the best food? Glad to know you think the Wave is better. I'm leaning toward that one.
