Looking for opinions regarding the breakfast at Norway. Is it a buffet? Character interaction? Quality of food? Service, etc.?

We did the princess breakfast and it was GREAT! All the princesses were there EXCEPT Cinderella. They talked with our two DD (age 9 and 5). We saw Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Mulan, etc. LOTS of fun! Food was served to our table! Girls wore their princess costumes.

I thought the character interaction was very brisk. Each princess came over for maybe 30 seconds. The food was okay, just your typical breakfast fare. It's served family style in a skillet. I won't be back for breakfast, but am interested in trying lunch or dinner since they will soon be character meals as well.

We did this breakfast last June and are going to do it again when we go in April. It is wonderful! The food is very good. It is served family style on platters but you can ask for more of any item(s). The restaurant was full but we did recieve very nice interaction with ALL the princesses. They each spoke with my girls, signed their books, and posed for pics. When Jasmine showed up my 5 yr old DD said "My daddy thinks you are hot" I've got the best picture of him with Jazmine with the reddest face

I would highly recommend this character breakfast. I hear they are expanding it to include lunch and dinner also... you may want to call and ask.

Have a GREAT trip :flower1:

This breakfast gets really mixed reviews. We did it in Dec. and probably will not return. The characters were literally running between the tables- especially Jasmine who was the princess we came here for anyway. The Snow White did not even come close to looking the part- she was pitiful!!! The food was OK- maybe slightly better than the castle. I was very disappointed in this meal- probably more so than any other meal I've ever eaten at WDW. I'm not saying we'll never eat here again- b/c DD loves Jasmine so- but we will probably try to convince DD to just see her in the parks. If you can't get the castle- this is your only alternative to eat with the princesses. But, we will definitely try to get the castle every time over this one. JMO
Maybe we hit it on a bad day- but from what I've read on these boards this meal is very inconsistent. princess:

Personally, I think this meal is much better than Cinderella's Royal Table. I liked the assortment of princesses (and wow...were they very good looking princesses  ) Here is a link to the menu. Have a Disney Day!

We reallly enjoyed it. Princesses were not rushed the day we were there and were very friendly. Service was excellent and food was good.

We didn't like it at all. We were the first ressies for the morning we went and the food was cold. The princesses were as nice as Cindy's either. We asked for another thing and food and it came out cold too so we gave up. We will not be going back to PSB but will do Cindy's instead.

Also PSB is expanding to include a Lunch and Dinner. It doesn't start until april 10th. Here's the info:

We went last April and thought it was great. The food is a bit more than I would eat for breakfast. Not a big eggs and bacon person but I managed.
The princesses stopped and talked to my daughters and took pictures. I thought it was just the right amount of time for each table.
No they are not gonna stop sit down and have coffee with you and your family.
At least not on our trip.

We are doing the PSB for the first time in Feb. for my DD 6th B-day. It is what she wants so we will see how it is for us.

No, the princesses don't sit and have coffee with you- never expected that. However, we've done the castle 3 times and had better interaction there all three times than at PSB. When I say Jasmine was literally running between tables- I'm serious. She ran between each table, smiled, quickly signed the autograph book, smiled quickly for a picture, and was off to the races again. Now, DD didn't really care b/c all she wanted was to see her at breakfast. However, we've done around 5 character meals per trip in our last 3 trips and this was the worst interaction of them all. Now, like I've said before, I've read very mixed reviews of this one. I think the breakfast must be inconsistent as far as this goes. Some come back reporting terrific character interaction. Others do not. For us, it was the pits and I will try to convince DD to just see the princesses at the castle- if we get it next time. We got much more interaction in the castle and seeing Jasmine at the parks. Maybe they will get this problem worked out soon. The variety of princesses is nice- Mulan was very nice to see! princess:

We (5 adults) went in May and loved the experience! We had the last seating of the morning (we don't do morning LOL), found our food to be hot and fresh, server attentive and friendly, and the princesses took their time with each table around us. They were wonderful with the kids, and very gracious. We had time to take lots of pictures with each of them, they signed a postcard I mailed to my niece, etc. We had a great time, enjoyed the food, and all the photo opps.

I think with just about every restaurant, it's hit and miss depending on the day and which CMs are playing what characters... it gets very mixed reviews, but I am curious to see how things go once the lunch and dinner are going as well.

We pay for the opp to get a pic wtih the princesses, not really for the food. I would rather pay the $, eat, and not have to stand in line over and over again for each princess, so we did hte breakfast. Even if you stand in line somewhere in the park, the picture exp will be rushed as well - time for just a quick pic and greeting - but it is free =) So you have to figure out what is better for you and your family. For us, we'd rather pay to have them come to us LOL!

Let's see - I guess I liked it. We were seated in a group. Meaning they called about 10 tables and sat us all at once in one room. So our server had a bunch of tables at once. She came around with a tray of coffee, orange juice and apple juice I think. I am not a juice or coffee girl and I felt like I was bothering her asking for a water. (I know better now and won't feel funny asking for a different beverage).

The princesses came one after another - which was fine I guess so you just had your camera out and ready.

What I did not like was the tables were so close. I felt like I was sitting with 2 other families (we were in a half booth, half table and literally the lady next to me was touching me).

The food was just ok. I definately enjoyed the food and the atmosphere much better at CRT.

I loved it! We went a year ago. We had the 1st seating (8:30 I think) and the CM at the check-in podium noticed that my DD was wearing a bday button (it was her bday that day) so they asked her to be the princess for the day. They gave her a crown, wand and princess cape and she got to wave the wand (with all the other children in a circle with her) and the restaurant's doors opened magically! Then Snow White escorted her inside the restaurant before the other guests. Snow White took her to sit at a table which had a big throne chair for her. We were one of the first tables that the princesses stopped at, and it was a wonderful experience. She wore the cape, crown and had the wand for the entire breakfast. My DD got a certificate to remember it by.

This year we're going for my son's bday. We'll try Chef Mickey for him :D

When we were there, it was Mulan that was literally running between the tables. I wanted to have my pic made with her, but she was too busy going from table to table and did not hear our request (I'd like to think she didn't hear our request:p ). We barely got her in the pic with my dd. My dd loved the cinnamon rolls the most. She liked it, but I think she preferred Cindy's more.

We've been to PSB twice. The first time was in 2002, when PSB was still in its test phase. My DD was then 4-1/2, and was chosen to be princess of the day. It's still her favorite memory of that trip.

Our second visit was Oct. 2004. Believe it or not, that visit was more so for our DS3. He adores Snow White & has the biggest crush on her! When the princesses started coming to our table, they instinctively were paying more attention to DD at first. When I told Snow White how much my DS loved her, she gave him a big kiss on the check. My son was beside himself. When she left our table, he sighed & said, "She's so pretty." Then, as other princesses visited our table, they gave him kisses too. He had lipstick all over his face! It was precious! DD had plenty of attention too.

The food was good and our server was great. DS is picky, and the only thing he would eat was the fruit. Our server must have refilled our fruit 4x! Everything was warm, fresh, and plentiful.

On our first trip, we did CRT too. I wouldn't say that one was better than the other. We enjoyed them both a lot!

Say it isn't sooo---they are turning the whole place into a character meal????

You know, I like my princesses---and I guess they need more people to eat at Akershus...but I loved the food just the way it was. Bummer!!!

Too funny... we went in August and loved it!! We had Mulan, Jasmine, Belle, Aurora, Snow White! No princesses ran between tables, and the men in our area were making googoo eyes at Jasmine, several had their pictures taken, my dh commented that he was embarrassed... We were late for our PS (maybe 10-15 min) because I didnt factor in it taking longer to get on the Monorail that early to Epcot, and I didnt factor in the walk (we ran!) from the gate ALL the way over to Norway (its been so long since I went to Epcot, dh complains that I'm always early, this time, I was late!!) No problem, they sat us when we got there, it was in an alcove with 4 or 5 other tables, families of 4 - 5 (there are three of us) So our area our server was so polite and kind, dd kept asking her questions about Norway, and she was great in answering her - our food was always hot (if our server saw we were out of something, it was replaced with MORE food!!)

One of the tables the girl was having a birthday, and they brought her a cookie to decorate (dont know if it was extra or not) again, we got more than enough interaction... I remember dd asking and talking to Belle about books, etc... she fairly swooned when Princess Aurora came around ("how come they never let you wear your blue dress? DD really wants Cinderella in pink and Aurora in blue LOL)

We are definately going back. Of course we've only been once, and since Sleeping Beauty was a must we didnt even try for Cindy's bkfst, and when we were at the castle dd (8) didnt seem to care - she is very loyal to Aurora LOL

I agree, I would rather pay for the attention for my DD's then wait in a un-organized line when they pop out through out the world. I haven't been to Epcot in years but will be planning this time just to have the breakfast. If I may, what time was your seating? We are not morning people either. Thanks! :flower1:

We had the 11:40 seating, last one for breakfast. Food was good, server was attentive and friendly, and the princesses do really go fast, like have your camera ready or you'll miss it. But I'm not really complaining, my DD3 is still talking about it 3 weeks later, so seeing it through her eyes it was great, she met the princesses, what else in life is there?
