Breakfast at Goofy's during 1/2 Marathon Weekend

Hey!

This is our first 1/2 marathon at DLR. We are a party of 3 - DD (15) DH and me. We are planning on the Family 5K on Splatterday and DH is doing the 1/2 Marathon on Sunday. We arrive the Tuesday afternoon prior, (28th) and plan to park ourselves silly in between "races."

I have JUST realized I have made zero plans for this trip other than booking AP EE for Wednesday and Thursday. Ack.

I am hoping for your advice! I would appreciate hearing from you, and especially anyone familiar with how these marathon weekends affect guest numbers, etc., to offer advice on which day to book a buffet at Goofy's. Would you pick the Saturday after the 5K or Sunday after DH finishes the marathon, and what time would you recommend? (We leave Sunday pm) Or, I guess the Friday is also doable, but I think I would prefer to leave that loose and without an agenda, especially if the parks are expected to be nutty busy.

We always book breakfast at Storytellers for Sunday morning after the 1/2 marathon. And it's always super busy, but since we have a PS, we get in, though we might have to wait 15-20 minutes after our PS time. I would expect the same thing over at Goofy's Kitchen. Bring your medal(s) - the characters love seeing them!
