OK, I have done some searching, but I am not finding to much that is close to what I am trying to do (going to keep looking, though...)

Staying at AKV, plan on 4 breakfast ADRs. One is at AK, so that one is easy. The other 3 are at CR, BC, and the Poly. Going to try for 7:30-8:00 am times.

Now, I know to use the buses, I would have to take a bus to either DTD or a park, then back to the resort.

Questions:
1: Can this be done? (Not sure if buses are going back to resorts that early)

2: Is there enough time to do this if buses start at 6:30 am?

3: Would it be better to take a cab? (I think I know the answer to this one)

4: If taking a cab, any ideas on cost?
A: AKV to CR
B: AKV to BC
C: AKV to Poly

5: Darn, another question - my son is 4, do I need a car seat for the cab? (this may kill the cab idea....)

Thanks for the answers and ideas, guys!

The earliest bus I have been able to catch was right around 7:00. I haven't seen one any earlier than that. It doesn't mean they don't exist, but I have never seen one.

If the buses start at 7:00... You could bus to MK and walk or monorail to CR, or monorail to the Poly, and make it by 7:45. I'm not sure you could get to the BC that early without taking a taxi. Maybe...

You could bus to DHS and boat to BC from there. Aside from the taxi, that would probably be the fastest way. (It's a 20 minute walk from DHS to BC. The boat wasn't yet at the DHS dock when we started walking and it still beat us back to BC. So the boat ride must be 15 minutes or less.)

Using a taxi, AKL to POFQ cost us around $20 including tip. Poly to BC also cost us around $20 including tip. We did not need a car seat for our DD -- something about not being needed in public transporation. It doesn't feel terribly safe though. However, DD is 6 1/2 and we put her in the middle of the back seat with a seat belt. I have read that you can request a taxi with a car seat. That would be safer.

because you will probably get a better response on the Transportation boards, moving your post there.

Thanks. I didn't think about the monorail and the boats. Hmmm

Do you need cash for the cabs? I am assuming so, but just checking...

Thanks.
;)

Anybody know if the cabs have a booster seat (my son is 4, uses a booster seat in our cars)? I am assuming not, so using a cab is out of the question. Darn.

Hmmm, I remember someone made a chart that showed all the transportation options from each place, it may have been a thread here, but can't find it. Anybody know what I am talking about, or am I dreaming? Thanks.

Buses, to the parks, start running between 6:15-6:30am...they are there for those early morning ADRs and tours. If going to the CR, GF, or the Polynesian, just hop on the MK bus. For the CR, you can get off the bus at MK and then walk over to the CR. The monorail doesn't start running until 7, which makes it a bit harder to get to the GF and Polynesian. The boats don't run that early either...at least that is my understanding.
You can ask the driver, when boarding the bus to MK, what the easiest and fastest way to the Polynesian (or GF) is..depending on where you are going. Some drivers will actually drop you off after they have left the MK.
For BC, you would have to take the bus to DHS and then either walk or take the boat..if the boats are running that early. The walk will take about 20-25 mins, as does the boat.

You may want to get a cab...but they can add up if you use them for all the early morning ADRs. I would try and get seatings closer to 8am, simply because it's easier to get to those vs those at 7am.

Thanks for the information. I have changed it a little bit, instead of Cape May, going to try Crystal Palace, easier to get there and we'll be in MK first thing!
