My husband and I are planning our next disney trip and we normally go to Donald's Safari breakfast so we can get into AK early in the morning but this time we wanted to try a new breakfast place. We looked at all the menus and narrowed it down to 1900 Park Fare or Chef Mickey's! Of course, I would like 1900 Park Fare and my husband would like Chef Mickey's so we need some help deciding...please solve this problem for us!!! Thanks!

We've done both of those for dinner, not breakfast, but assuming that the quality of the food is the same at breakfast, I'd say Chef Mickeys.

we don't really care about characters...I am 24 and my husband is 25 and we like the characters but it's just the 2 of us so the characters aren't important...

I did both this last December. The food is the best at 1900 Park Fare--it was noticeably better. The characters put on a little more of a show at Chef Mickey's. So, I think the character interaction is better there. Both are fun and offer a tasty breakfast. Chef Mickey's will offer you a photo package, if you want to have your picture taken. It costs extra, but it was so cute that I splurged.

We've done both several times for breakfast (including DW, DD(now 15) and DD(now 10)) and 1900PF is definitely our favourite. Food is much better and more interesting there than at Chef Mickey's. Character interaction I think is also better in that you actually get to speak to some of the characters (i.e. Mary Poppins, Mad Hatter (he's a scream), Alice and Fairy Godmother). Pooh and Tigger offer as much conversation as Mickey and the gang at Chef Mickey's. All the characters at 1900PF are very friendly and happily spend as much time with you as you like, and even return a second time. Mickey and the gang at Chef M's seem to rush off too quickly without really engaging you. I also find it a little less chaotic at 1900PF.

Def Chef Mickeys! We just ate there last month and the food was awesome (tons of buffet pics in my March link) and the view of Bay Lake was great. DH enjoyed it so much that we are eating there again in June

We did 1900 PF breakfast once and no way would DH go back, the food and the service was horrible

I like 1900 the food is better and it's it bit smaller. And......heck you cant go wrong with Strawberry soup.princess:

As you can see you'll get lots of opinions on this subject. Personally, I like Chef Mickey's better. I like the bigger buffet. The Strawberry soup to me was YUCK (I know, I'm not the norm) But it was too sweet for me. The last two times we've eaten at 1900 Park Fare we have gotten HORRIBLE service. I just don't understand why either because it is a buffet. All the waitress has to do is provide you with beverages. The character interaction at 1900 wasn't the best either. The food wasn't replenished quickly enough. My family has banned me from making ADRs at 1900. Anyways... I'd pick Chef Mickey's...

Hmmm, we've done both. If I were just thinking of food not character interaction, then I'd choose Chef Mickey. There was so much variety at this buffet! A much bigger selection than 1900 Park Fare. So, my vote is for Chef Mickey's!:thumbsup2

thanks for all the great responses...we decided to go with chef mickey's...i will post our thoughts on this choice when we get back from our trip! thanks again!
