I am after some recommendations, I may be the only fussy bread eater in the world but has anyone found a bread brand that I can get in Walmart or Publix that isnt sweet tasting?
If you buy bread or rolls from the fresh bakery area or Deli at Publix then that's your best bet really.
Most of the sliced packaged bread does taste buttery or sweet, to be honest for toast we quite like it but it's taste doesn't make it ideal for sandwiches.
. . . . the problem with anything in Publix is there's just SO much choice
We go in for a bit of simple shopping to pick up a few bits for breakfast or dinner for the following day and spend an hour in there looking around - just too much choice, it's so exciting

Im a very fussy bread eater to so much so that I bring some bread from home with me and when I run out of that supply I get the publix Italian bread from the bakery section.
Agree with the Previous poster - Italian bread from the bakery section in Publix. Also at Walmart - in the bakery section, you can get plastic bag of 10 soft rolls (like finger rolls but a bit wider) - they look like a pale brown bread, but taste great, not heavy wholegrain at all. Really nice.
