bread pudding winner... raglan road or ohana?

I would have to lean towards Ohana. I was a HUGE Raglan Road bread pudding fan, but when we went in February, it was a bit disappointing. We had Ohana bread pudding first in our recent trip and maybe that is why. I just didn't think the Raglan Road version had enough crust on top - it was more mushy stuff when you poured the cup out onto the plate. I have never poured Raglan Road pudding out of the cup before, but the waiter suggested it and I just didn't like it. Seemed mushy and maybe undercooked? I loved Ohana's but thought it was a bit too sweet with the caramel sauce even though I am a caramel lover. My vote after my last trip would go to Ohana and if you asked me before my trip to Ohana, I would have never believed it. pixiedust:

UPDATE: my fiance just chimed in and agreed Raglan Road was very mushy this year and he thinks it was undercooked. There was no crust on top like there was in the past. Maybe we got a rush batch this year because it was more crowded than we have ever seen it, but it turned him off too, so much so that Raglan Road is not in our plans for next year.

I agree with the above poster. I liked the 'Ohana bread pudding better, but that isn't to say the Ragland Road one was bad - just not how I like my bread pudding. The rest of my meal at Ragland Road was stellar, and I will always go back!

We LOVE Raglan Road - the food in general is better there. But the bread pudding at Ohana is awesome, better than RR's.

I'll tell you how good Ohana's breading pudding is...our family didn't like it until we tried it there. Awesome!

Without doubt....Raglan Road!! It's out of this world....and the sauces....oh my!!! Ohanas is fine, but I'm not a huge banana in my dessert girl!

I'll throw a diversion in the mix...the Toffee Pudding at Rose and Crown. Not a bread pudding per se, more of a cake pudding, but INSANE! You can find pics or it at disneyfoodblog. It was yum. I like bread pudding. Liked 'Ohana, but thought it pretty sweet. Need to try Raglan!

I would have said Raglan Road until our last experience when I had a spoonful from the middle that was icy cold - it was obviously reheated in the microwave.

Sent it back and the next one was only slightly better:sad2:

It was the bread pudding that kept me going back to RR but I won't be going back again.

I was asking because I love bread pudding and heard about raglans BP. But we aren't going to downtown Disney but wasn't sure if it was worth making a trip to taste. We do have ressies fir ohana though. I hope I like it.

Sorry folks but ....... My Mom's. When you grow up loving your Mom's nothing compares. She didn't have a complicated recipe but it sure was good. :goodvibes
