Bread at Mama Melrose's?

Does any bread come with the meals there or do you have to order it as an appetizer with the spreads?

No bread was served with our meal 3 weeks ago. Strange for an Italian restaurant.

They do not serve bread anymore because people were showing up and just eating bread and a couple of appetizers. People found it a great way to get an inexpensive meal but I am sure the restaurant was loosing money because of it.

So now you need to order bread as an appetizer if you want it. I couldn't believe you wouldn't get some kind of bread at an Italian restaurant so I asked and they did bring us some rolls. However, we wouldn't have gotten anything if we hadn't asked.

We asked our server for bread (9/12) and she brought it no questions asked!

we ate there aug 14 for dinner, and we were given bread. didn't have to ask for it. i thought they took it away for a while, but now it was back?

i'm looking forward to ordering the bread/spreads appy here - it looks so good (plus i won't have to share - DH refuses to eat whole grains! more for me!)

I always ask for bread at Prime Time. I'm a carb girl. It just isn't a meal without a roll and butter!

They were serving bread when we ate there on Sept 8th....we ended up ordering the bread plate appetizer so we did not get the rolls and oil but all other tables around us were served a basket of rolls. If you get there and are not offered rolls just ask.

We ate there 9/13 and didn't get any bread except the bread my hubby ordered. He ordered the bread with the three spreads. It was pretty good but not free. I wonder how the other person got "free" bread and we didn't. Maybe it depends on your server. Maybe it is because we ordered the bread. We did get bread at Tony's in MK.

They were not offering a bread basket to those that ordered the bread & spread appetizer when we were there...but all tables around us that did not order this received a bread basket...I am sure if you really wanted it and asked (even though you had the bread and spread appetizer) they would get one for you....we really had no need to ask.
