I tried asking a WDW CM when the dates were that the Brazilian tour groups are encompass all of WDW:furious: but all I was told was sometime between July and August. Anyone know precisely the time?:confused3

Not even the Brazilians know "precisely" the time. Figure they peak around January and July.

Don't know what the "official" peak times are...but there were "billions-of-Brazilians" on our early July trip in 2012, but no huge groups that we saw last year in April or late December/early January. :scared1:
I will say that those that we had opportunities to interact with were nothing but polite.

OMG' I had forgotten about the Brazilian tour groups, maybe with the World Cup there this summer' a lot of them might stay home!

We had dozens upon dozens upon dozens of tour groups on our last trip... It was in June.

I'm thinking the tour groups peak from January to January :lmao: :lmao:

Seems like there might not be a safe time to go to avoid them. Oh well.

The whole month of July and into the first week of August.

The month of January.

Those are their break times from schools. They also go into US/IOA and SeaWorld as well as doing lots of outlet shopping.

They are not ALL Brazilian-MANY are from Argentina as well as smaller numbers from Mexico,Ecuador,Chile, etc.:)

oooOh, I had a very interesting conversation with a CM in AK last week. I asked her about the South American tour groups and after rolling her eyes, she got really serious and said Disney was not putting up with the obnoxious behavior anymore. She said they were hiring on S.A. interns and putting them in charge of controlling the groups when they arrive.

She was very emphatic that Disney was beginning to make changes regarding all the complaints of ridiculous behavior...so hopefully, hopefully this happens.

That is not new.:)

Disney always has Super Greeters to help with the groups.

The Super Greeters are from Brazil so the Argentina Tour Groups do not like them and don't "mind" them very well.:)

The only time I have seen a large number of tour groups was a short trip the third week of July a few years back. I visit in January every year, and although I do see a few groups, it's nothing like it was in July. I didn't see any bad behavior - just a large quantity of people. I have visited in August and not seen many groups and I have visited in June and not seen many groups. I have never seen them in September. Maybe I just have good "group avoidance radar"? ;)

Maybe I've had an especially good run with BTGs, or ATGs, or WhereverTGs, but I've seen hundreds of groups in my days at WDW as well as Universal, and I've literally NEVER seen a problem with behavior. I'm not trying to say that those that worry about them have "get off my lawn" syndrome, but I find it weird that my experience differs so wildly with others-is it possible that they really aren't so bad? Granted I've never been there in July; I'm mostly January, June, and October-maybe the problematic ones are there in July, but this is a questionable theory at best.

Saw a post on FB this morning talking about this same topic. The poster said that because of the World Cup being in Brazil this summer, the tour groups would be coming to WDW earlier, and leaving in mid-July. Don't know if this is true or not, but does seem plausible, given the popularity of the World Cup :)

I have seen the SA tour groups in Jan, July and Oct. I have never had issue with their behavior. It's more an issue of crowds/crowding for me.

We've been for the week of July 4th 10x and have seen them EVERY time. I know July is a big month for them. There are always MULTIPLE tour groups then ..... with dozens in each group.

Same here... We went in mid-July last year and while there were large groups all over, we didn't take note of any "bad" behavior in the parks that I've read about. That's pretty good for a hoard of teenagers!!! Just lots of singing and drums.

That said, we *did* make a point to try to run in the opposite direction or ahead as we didn't want to end up at the queue at the very same time a group of 50 got to it!!! A couple times, we couldn't beat the group to the queue and they were very good about letting us (family of 4) step ahead of them in line. :goodvibes

Last year we saw quite a few groups in June. We went back in July and they were literally everywhere. We couldn't avoid them like we did in June. Our experience with them has ranged from pleasant to obnoxious, but it's been the worst at the resorts by far.

I sometimes think that people feel that WDW is a church. Special decorum is necessary to be acceptable to the masses. A sense of quiet enjoyment. Then along comes this group of uninhibited, fun loving people and we go berserk. I have seen a huge number of tour groups and frankly nothing they have ever done has bothered me in any way other then to make me jealous that I am unable to unknot myself enough to have that good a time.

I have never seen a group cut lines, although that has been reported to have happened. I must just be lucky.
