Brazilian groups and FP+ and magic bands

Which I'm sure is your goal since you've played the "Race Card". :sad2:
My Family is comprised of Blacks, Hispanics, Native Americans, and Whites and I've NEVER heard a single one of them use the stupid term "Racist".

I don't understand your post and I don't understand what you mean by "race card." I think you are misusing that phrase here.

Saying the term "racist" is a stupid term suggests you are either very young or very naive, or both. That's not a stupid term.

"Brazilian" is not a race. Neither is "American".

And it's against the large groups of people from that country, generally with much adult supervision, generally young themselves, that threads like this discuss. Large groups often behave differently than individuals. And large groups acing disruptively tend to alter the experiences of others around them in the parks.

I don't feel anything like racist here. Nobody said anything like "all Brazilians are unpolited". Of course, it could pass a bad image from Brazil, because these tour groups is much more noticeable than individual Brazilians traveling with their families. This kind of teen's behavior bother me a little, because I love my country and I love Brazilians, and I wish everyone like here and Brazilians too and this kind of behavior difficults it. But like everyone has said, teens without family has a totally unpredictable behavior, and people who travel at same time with BTG must be aware of such things.

Just pointing out that most on this thread have been quick to point out that their use of "Brazilian Tour Group" is because of the large tour groups from Brazil. They are equal opportunity haters of "Cheerleading Tour Groups", "Pop Warner Tour Groups", "Marching Band/Chorus Tour Groups", and any other group that travels in large numbers and interrupts their touring plans. If a large group of Franciscan Monks visited the parks, you can bet we'd hear complaints about the Monks. ;)

Add to the fact that, as has been explained, most find traveling with their own teens to be (barely) tolerable, but they have no desire to spend a lot of time around groups of 20-80 highly unsupervised teens in a foreign country. I'm sure the Canadians were cursing myself and the parents of all the kids who went on the trips to Canada to study the architecture and cathedrals... and I can assure you that ds and his friends are the model of decorum and respectability when in the presence of adults who would not hesitate to stool them out... in a foreign country? Although I would like to think differently, probably not so much at certain times.

Sorry, I don't see any difference. Like I said, replace "Brazilian" with "blacks" and see if it sounds racist. Of course it does.

The question is whether someone from Brazil would be offended by this thread. I think we would agree the answer is yes.

Replace "race" with "national origin." You're missing the point in your second paragraph.

Go back and read some of the posts. The suggestion is that people from Brazil are loud and inconsiderate. How do you think someone from Brazil would feel reading this thread. This site is better than this.

The PP gabrielacsarti is Brazilian and she is not offended.

I see where many are mentioning they are there in July. Are they still there in August?

As for being young....
I'm sixty three years old.
As for being naive...
I'm a retired Police Officer and there's VERY damn little I haven't seen, or done, in connection with human interactions.
And calling someone else a "Racist" without grounds, as you've done here, is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard one person say to another.....
As far as I'm concerned it's exactly like using the "F" word in an argument.
And it's just as stupid....

I did not call anyone racist. I said some of the posts here were racist and I think there were grounds for doing so. Again, try and imagine you are Brazilian and reading this thread and ask yourself if you would be offended. The implication is that Brazilians are loud and inconsiderate and to be avoided when they are in groups. I did not see many posts qualifying their opinions that "groups" in general should be avoided.

And let me trump your 63 years and police officer experience with my 20+ years of being an employment lawyer who has defended countless employers against discrimination claims. If anyone here thinks that the statements made on this thread would not expose your employer to liability under Title VII and state anti-discrimination laws, you are wrong.

I don't want to be the Dis police. So I'll shut up now. But we should be better than this. People from all over the world read these boards and this does not reflect well on the site.

I thought you said you were going to shut up....
Oh wait....
I forgot you're an Attorney....

Anyway.
I doubt seriously that the statements made here qualify as Respondeat Superior since the posters aren't employed by the Forum.
But, since I don't want to offend Lawyers either, I'll shut up as well. :wave2:

WOW!!! I just want to say how shocked I am how racist this thread is. I'm not Brazilian. I'm American. And I am ashamed by some of these posts. My God! Do you guys realize what you are saying?! Just replace the word "Brazilian" with "Blacks" or "Hispanics" or "Jews" to get a sense how racist these posts are. I'm literally shocked that this thread was not shut down by a moderator.

I am with you 100%!!! These people don't think they're racists. Why? Because they are elitists. This Brazillian bashing has been going on for years on these boards. But you gotta love how the defenders throw in cheerleaders and other groups just to justify these vicious posts.

And don't get me started on the other violations of posting guidelines here in this thread (sarcasm, personal attacks, arguing). Funny how this thread didn't turn ugly until AFTER the mod posted a comment.

After reading all of this, I guess Brazillians are fair game. Kind of like Canadians and Republicans.
