Brazilian groups and FP+ and magic bands

Thinking practically...I'm wondering if the BTG will just be skipping FP+. First, no matter how much you like FP+, I think everyone can admit that MDE has issues and that scheduling FP+s isn't an easy, simple task. I also don't know how well the copying is going to work for 50+ people...certainly on most rides, the same times won't copy over, and then you'll have an issue with trying to keep straight 50+ overlapping ride times. With FP-, it was easy just to pull paper and then hand the FPs out to whoever wanted to use them. That's just not possible with FP+. There's a lot more coordination involved and no paper for anyone to help keep people straight on where they should be and when. I just see the tour guides throwing their hands up and telling the groups no more FP+, it's SB only. At least that's what I'll be hoping for y'all who go at times when they're prevalent in the parks. I've never experienced one myself and hope to avoid them in the future.

Maybe they will be as mad as others because of FP+ and won't ever come back

I don't think they will skip it. They might have a staff of workers just sitting there prebooking before the trips.

I wonder if there will be some sort of Disney service where they just plunk in a large tour group's Fastpasses for them. Just a package, this day you do this, next day this, etc.

BTG's are basically all about discount designer clothes shopping that happens to have a "free Disney vacation" included.
Due to tariffs/taxes, designer clothes are much, much more expensive in Brazil. It's something like, you could send your kid to a Brazilian mall with $10,000. Or send them on a Disney World trip for half the price (and they still get the same including clothes by shopping in Florida).

I was at AKL during the Princess marathon, and we saw a HUGE group of brazilians checking into the resort. My first reaction was panic, but then I realized that they were all guys (dressed exactly the same - even down to matching straw fedorara!). They were all getting mbs. I asked front desk about it, and apparently the group was a bunch of tour guides on a convention. So, maybe they are getting fp+ training for tour groups now?

Hi, I'm Brazilian and want to clarify somethings for you. First, sorry about the bad behavior of these students, we have shame of them. Second, when is summer in Florida, is winter here, winter vacation here is just in July. June is mid-term test, so there won't be huge crowds of young not-so-polited Brazilians in June. This year the soccer's worldcup is in Brazil and it finishes in mid July, so I imagine there won't be a lot of BTG in Florida until this time. And things here are very, very expensive, that's why the stores has plenty of Brazilians. To give you an idea, an Iphone 5s 16GB costs here near US$1200.

I hope the CMs don't throw their hands up in disgust and let the entire group in when only half of the group has functioning fastpasses.

(Although any individual should be let through upon presenting written i.e. printed evidence of a properly reserved FP.)

Yep

Are there certain dates the groups go or is it the whole summer? My family is going the last week of July and wondering if we are gonna have to deal with hose large groups?

Primarily February and July, but they've been spotted in January and August and other times as well.

Thank you for the clarification. I did not realize things in Brazil were so expensive. So basically the groups are on a shopping trip to the United States, and figure they might as well visit Disney World while they're here. I would have never thought of that.

Exactly. It's a shopping trip with a great bonus. I already went to Atlanta, which isn't famous as a travel destination, because a excelent price of air tickets, just to go shopping. I bought computer, iPad, iPhone, clothes, small kitchen appliances LOL. We, here in Brazil, like so much to go shopping in USA (and I think retailers too). It's a pity that some people with nothing inside their heads, instead of give a good image from Brazil, even for other people have interest in visit Brazil, behave in a manner that let people with fear to meet Brazilians in parks.

I do not think anyone fears them. I also do not think it has anything to do with them being from brazil. It is more about the sheer number of them and how that affects everyone else when a group that size shows up. Also, they are all young with very few chaperones. All young teens, who get together in large groups with very little adult supervision, will be obnoxious or rude at times no matter what country they are from.

Oh, I know it's not exactly a fear, but I don't know a more appropriated word, I don't speak English this well... Google Translator is a best friend :rotfl: And I was young a time ago, I know what are we able to do when we are far of our parents :rotfl2: But, If a had a child, I would be pretty clear that he or she will be in a different country, so he or she would have to be very careful, because cultures are very different. We are a very expansive people (but we don't use flags and colorful shirts or sing loud in streets, I swear :lmao:) and Americans doesn't, so if I'am the tourist I have to respect local culture. But maybe I'm asking for a lot of tourism experience for young people.
