No offense but when do the Brazillians flood out the parks? I would like to plan around that time...
thanks!!

There's no such thing as "Brazil Week." Tour groups from Brazil come through out the year...mainly during the summer months. But there really isn't a way to plan around them unless you go around the internet and search every single tour group coming through Florida through out the year.

My experience with them has been better than dealing with American teenagers...

been 3 years between mid june and mid july and there was loads of tour groups. We stayed at movies and i think so did all the tour groups:rotfl2: :rotfl2: . Getting breakfast was a challenge every morning:scared1:

We never had any problems with tour groups. They seemed very polite and were never a problem except for in the food courts. They all want to eat at the same time.

Tons of them in February. And our experiences with them were not all that nice. Won't go again at that time. Will never go in July because I am a heat wimp!

I would avoid mid January (MLK week). We had several negative experiences including my 3 year old being knocked to the ground by a group of teens pushing through a line.

I appreciate all the info but please feel free to give me more...I am blocked out during the summer (Seasonal passes) so I didn't know they came then...I know they are hereother times when I am able to go but just don't remember when it was...I'm not talking about a here and there brazillian but the tour groups that are a bit on the aggressive obnoxious side...I don't speak english so I don't have to be courteous crew...Sorry but it makes me nutso!!

The groups that were there in February were large. There were tons of them. And I will not say ALL of them were aggressive and obnoxious, because we didn't come into contact with all of them, and I am sure some were lovely people. However, the group of 20+ that CLIMBED OVER my ECV (and my head!) to get in front of us in line for Fantasmic after we had been in line for 45 minutes already...they were definitely rude, obnoxious, and aggressive. And getting climbed over HURTS.

Of course when the people in line protested, miracle of miracle, none of them spoke English, and proceeded to climb over the rope that divided the ECV line from the regular line to cut in the VERY FRONT of the regular line. In front, of course, of people that had been in line 45 minutes. We will never go back in February.

We were there in July 2006 and there were several Brazillian groups there. Most of the ones we came into contact with were loud and not very well supervised.

We was there Jan 11 - 18th all we incountered an it was MANY MANY large groups was very very rude.

I am so sorry this happened to you. This is absolutely horrible. My DH uses an ECV for this arthritis and they would have been shocked when he stood up with his cane in his hand, swinging. He's only 49 so he's still in decent shape (just can't walk all day). The nerve of some people. :sad2:

We were there Jan 20-25 and they were there..our HS and Epcot days were a nightmare

I think I've read that mid-January until the end of February and also Mid-June until the end of July are tour group season.

Jan 18 and 19 this year, DHS could have been Little Rio. Pushy, rude, obnoxious. I watched a group of teens push all the way through the Fantasmic line, then complain about the "Americanos" after we'd been waiting an hour already. Then we nearly got trampled, had to pick up the kids so they wouldn't get crushed.

We were at WDW last summer the last week of July and they were EVERYWHERE. AT DHS, I counted at least 6 different groups of 50-100 kids. I've heard that they tend to be gone by the first week of August.

This year we will be in Disney the 2nd week of August. :cool1:

Thank you!

That is my problem too, arthritis in the knees. I stand in as many lines as I can but it is getting harder. And if it weren't for the ECV I couldn't go to Disney, so bless the guy that invented them! The lady in line behind me (she was walking, and was pushing someone in a wheelchair) asked me to just run over the next group that climbed over us. She had had it with them too. I think most of the problem is they are not well supervised, and there are so many of them. It is just not something I want to deal with again!

Where the h@ll were the CMs during the "tramplings" you guys are talking about? Did they just stand by and let it happen?

It makes me so angry to read what happened to you, especially the ones in the wheelchairs and ecvs as they climbed over you.

Really, what should you do if a mass of any line cutters come at you? I would try to rally the people in line to link arms and push back!!.:dance3:

I think they were overwhelmed and understaffed. This was a second showing of Fantasmic, and as soon as they got done letting in people for the first show they starting lining us up for the second one...so I think some of the people that would have been handling crowd control were still inside the first show. We had one CM trying to keep people into two lines: an ECV/wheelchair line (so they could direct us to the wheelchair seating areas) and the regular line, where people would just walk in and seat themselves. The guy tried...I heard him tell several people, "I have the light! You have to listen to me!" I don't think anyone was listening to the poor guy. It was kind of a mess.

I know the show was added sort of last minute...but we knew about it before we left home on Wednesday and this was Friday so it seems there should have been time to call some extra CMs in, or pull them off some other area for that hour or so.

The show itself was wonderful and my daughter had never seen it before so I am really glad we got to go...the first show was filled up well before it started, so we were very happy they added the second show. It is one of my favorites!

I was there the last week of January and ran into many groups and they were unbelievable rude. Trying to be helpful I explained to several of them the art of saying excuse me when cutting people off or running into them. I am sure I was appriciated. :)
