Ah! My most favorite building at the Nado! :goodvibes

Great pictures, eeyoresnr. If you haven't already done so, can I copy and paste them in the CSR Photo Thread?

Not yet. They got rather beat up when we had a few days of freezing temperatures and are being replanted.

Oh, poor plants! I didn't have any luck planting them up here in New England a few years back - I was so disappointed. Hope your weather warms up and stays warm. :sunny:

Can anyone tell me if the hair dryers are like a normal size or if they are more of a travel size? I have very thick and wavy hair that gets frizzy in Flordia humidity and I have found that dryers in other hotels that were the smaller kind just couldn't dry my hair. It wasn't a pretty picture towards the end of a long hot day in a park :scared:

When we were there in September, they were the small ones attached to the wall. Now, I understand that they are in a bag hanging on the rack for clothes. Someone posted a picture of the bag that the hair dryer is in so I didn't see the hairdryer, but I would assume it is still the same size.

Thanks!
I had been wondering if I should pack my own or not. I have had a hotel dryer shut of on me with only half of my head dry and not turn back on.

Hi all!

DH and I were working on planning out the different days of our trip today and ran across something we are unsure of......

We are driving for the first time this trip and plan on arriving at CSR somewhere between 11am and 12 noon. The plan is to check-in, have lunch and then head to DTD for the afternoon and then have dinner there.

IF our room is not yet ready upon checkin, will they be able to at least tell us what section we will be in so that we can drive around to that section and park, before we board a bus to DTD?
And is so, what will the procedure be for us to find out our exact room number when it is ready?
Will it involve going back to the front desk to have our key cards coded??

We usually arrive at the CSR around 12:30 or 1:00. We check in; sometimes our room has been ready and sometimes it has not. We are given our KTTW cards and usually go to the Pepper Market for a light lunch (we usually drive to CityWalk to have dinner at Emeril's our first night in Florida). Truthfully, I can't remember if they've told us what section we will be in or not (we've been fortunate and have always stayed in the Casitas). With the exception of last year, our room has been ready by the time we finished eating at the Pepper Market. They will give you a number to call after a certain time to tell you what room you are in. May I make a suggestion, however? Rather than take the bus to DTD, I would drive. If you are going early enough you should have no problem with parking (DH and I usually go around 4:30 or 5:00). From what I have read, the buses to DTD are a big pain and very, very slow.

Kat, or Buzz. I know you must get so sick of answering all of these same question. But, I got very far, through the thread, and I just give up. I am so sorry if this was asked a zillion times. I am going back and forth on if I should pay the extra 500 for CSR, versus. POP. Which I love. I have come down to one thing. Which will make me decide. Where you catch the buses, to go to the parks. Is it covered. Or, is it open to the blazing sun like at POP?

And I looked that people are still being given old rooms. I thought they were all refurbished? This is the number one reason I was going to pick CSR. :confused3

The bus stops at CSR are covered & there are places to sit while you wait.

From what has been posted all rooms should be done by Oct.

The previous poster answered about the bus stops. As for the rooms, they will be completed October 09. As of now, all of the Cabanas are done; Ranchos 6A and 6B are done and the fourth floor of Casitas 1, 2 and 3. That leaves Ranchos 7A and 7B, Casitas 4 and 5 and the remaining floors of 1, 2 and 3. They are supposed to start on Casitas 5 soon.

Here is a picture of bus stop 4, right outside of the cabana section! We were there from March 1-8 and I have a ton of pictures and reviews in my Trip Report. Have a great time at CSR!!!! :thumbsup2 Tim

I wonder with all the talk about CSR on these boards if it will be harder to get a room there? I would like to be able to stay here again in the future!:)

That does sound like a great suggestion Kathy! We are going to Disney Quest at DTD, so that would mean parking in the west side parking lot correct?
Oh wait, I just looked at the map and it looks like there are a ton of parking lots at DTD :confused3
So, the closest would be Lot K ?

Is there a fee to park at DTD?

There's no fee to park by the Marketplace. I don't think we've ever parked by Disney Quest. But I would assume your parking pass would work therh eas well as the parks.

There is no fee to park at DTD. I think Disney Quest is right next to Cirque du Soleil which is in the West Side. Just look for Cirque and park close to that (when facing Cirque from the parking lot park to the right hand side)
