That is one of the best reviews I have ever read - and I LOVE the pics of CSR!!! I am sooo excited to be staying here next trip, I don't even think I'll mind if we're put in the Ranchos section, your photos make it look so beautiful!

hi pianoronni37! Trust me.....it really doesn't matter where you stay within CSR.....as long as you are at CSR! I love this resort, and it would be very hard to convince me to stay somewhere other than CSR.

Some people complain about the presence of conventioniers and "suits".....First of all, we didn't see a lot of suits during our stay.....and secondly, the ones we DID see, we felt sorry for them, because they were having to work and we were on VACATION!!!!!!!! I'm sorry, but seeing people dressed in suits for a convention not only doesn't distract me, but it actually reminds me of what a great vacation I am having!!

We have booked the CSR for March14-21. Got the 4/3 deal. We have never stayed at the CSR but after reading this blog think I made a good choice. Question is do each building have an elevator? My spouse is handicapped and want to know. We booked through guest services to get an accessible room but just want to know if we can be on any floor.

Yes, every building at CSR has an elevator in the middle of the building.

2 questions
1. My husband is doing a business mtg with 4 employees on top of a convention and wondering if the club level is nice? I will be with him and does the club level include all who stay in the room?
2. What are the suites like? Should he go deluxe? Just want to make sure they aren't in a bedroom for the mtg and have room.
Thanks and photos would be nice.pirate:

I think CSR looks absolutely beautiful but I have a few questions!

Would this be a good choice for a female solo traveler?

I will not have a car and will be dependent entirely on WDW transportation. Buses come frequently? How long does it take to go from stop to stop before getting on the way to a park? I'm worried that it will be a very long walk from buses to the room. Will it be that bad? I know that I will be tired after a long day at the parks and hope that it won't be a long time to get back to room.

Pepper market looks great, it's on the DDP right?

Thank you! :goodvibes

We went to CSR last weekend and had a great time. We had a renovated room here are some pics.

It was our 10th Anniversary

I'm going back as a solo female in September - I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be a good choice! And with the spa there, you can pamper yourself a bit, too!

Buses came quite frequently - we never had to wait more than 10 minutes. We were at Bus Stop #2 (first pickup) and I think it took a maximum of 5 minutes around the resort. We were in Casitas 4 and it was a 2 minute walk back to the room. If you're in 3 it might be a bit longer. Don't know about the others. One nice thing, though, is that the bus stops for CSR at the parks themselves are all close or at the beginning of the queues.

Pepper Market is on the DDP.

Have fun!

staying at CSR for the first time end of March and have a few questions:

1) Are there any Snack Credit options at the PM or CR menu's? (I looked at the menus Buzz posted (thanks) but didn't see the icon on CR's.)

2) Is there a way to find out if a convention will be going on during my stay ahead of time? The extra people don't bother me, but helpful in planning where we may eat lunch at CSR or in the parks.

3) Is there a toaster at the PM for you to use for your own personal food? My youngest DD has food allergies and intolerances. I may bring some mini bagels from home I know she can eat, wanted to know if I could toast them?

4) Bus travel to the parks. Ok I understnad the pick-up order, just wondering if anyone has an approximate of how long it takes you to get up to MK and over to Epcot. WTIM what is the earliest bus pick-up?

5) At the pool, not that I think my 2 yr DD will go in the water... but just in case are there any child swim/life vests for guest use or rent? Just deciding if I should bring one from home or if I don't need it.

OK THANKS!!! there may be more... I'm a serious planner and usually plan 18-12 months out but we leave in 61 days and I just booked it last week:crazy2: I feel good about getting my touring plans together but love to have some more info about the resort :thumbsup2

Looking forward to our Spring Break Bounce back and 1st stay at CSR!:beach:

Looking at the menus and pictures, it looks to me like they are similar. Is that the case? :scratchin I hear a lot about Pepper Market, but very little about Rix Cafe. We're going in 39 days (not that I'm counting or anything) :hyper:
Cafe Rix is just quick to go items. PM is sit down counter service and has lots more to offer.

I gotta tell ya, last weekend we definitely noticed fewer menu options in the Pepper Market. My favorite wet burrito is no longer available. In Cafe Rix the flat bread pizza was $9.00 plus and it certainly wasn't very big.

tink771 very nice pics...
Only 16 more days to go for us......can't wait! Did they put something in your room for your anniversary? We will be celebrating our 20th anniversary. I am not expecting anything in the room. I just cannot wait to get there and get out of this cold......Deb

Yes, we got the card from Minnie and Mickey and the balloons. I think my other half was persistent for this request.

I heard that they had to reduce the menu in order to stay with the DDP. Is the menu the same for lunch and dinner? I can't believe no more wet burrito. I'll be there in 19 days so I guess I'll have to investigate all the changes. I never was a fan of the DDP and now its change the PM.

I believe it is the same menu for both. I know we walked through twice, and both times we left without eating. It's ashame the DDP has affected the menu! I think there were only two selections at the Mexican stand, fajitas and something else, truly disappointing.

Just booked our very 1st stay at CSR for March 15-19! WooHoo. I am so excited but have a couple of questions

1. I see on this site that all but 100 of the rooms are renovated--I booked with expedia(got an unbelievable rate for Spring Break) so I am concerned that I will get one of the 100 rooms that is not renovated--is there a way to ensure I get a renovated room?

2. I booked 2 rooms and need them to be next to each other, how and when do I request this?

3. We will be driving and would like to use our own transportation to the parks so is there a building I should request that is close to parking.

TIA!!

The rehab will not be done until 10/2009 if on schedule.

2. I booked 2 rooms and need them to be next to each other, how and when do I request this? as soon as you make your reservation

3. We will be driving and would like to use our own transportation to the parks so is there a building I should request that is close to parking. the parking lot at CSR goes around the entire resort. casita 2, 4 and 5, cabana 8b and rancho 7a are most outer and nearest parking lots.

I booked our trip for March thru Expedia so I have not been able to request a room location yet. Can you tell me exactly what/when/where to fax request to. I don't even know where to begin with the fax--what important info do I put on it? TIA

HMMMMM, now that sounds like a good idea, a massage. I forgot about the spa they have there at CSR!! I think I will look into that, I assume you have to make a reservation?
