I'm a little confused as to how breakfast works on the last day of the cruise. Can anyone explain it to me? I've read something about 2 different seating times. Are there seating times every day of the cruise or just on the last day? Thanks

Breakfast on the last day only has 2 seating times (really early if you're not a morning person like me and a later one) If you have early seating at dinner, then you go to early breakfast and vice versa. You'll be in the same restaurant that you had dinner in the night before. I don't eat breakfast, so I can't remember the times since I didn't go and DH isn't here for me to ask - sorry!

There is also an alternative, Topsider's/Beach Blanket Buffet serves breakfast on the last morning as well, until 8:30 am. :)

The last morning is the ONLY morning where you have an assigned breakfast dining time, if you want to eat in the dining rooms. Breakfast and lunch are "open seating" on all other days of the cruise.

About Topsiders, be forwarned. The day you get off the boat, they do not have "breakfast" at Topsiders. They have a bunch of BREAD. We wanted to NOT do the resaurant thing the last day so we went up to Topsiders and very early. It was BREAD. No kidding. and juice. Continental breakfast, if you'd call it that.. So we went to our restaurant and ate there. You sit in your regular assigned table, too. I don't know if it was a one time only thing or what.. I'd be curious if others have gotten real food, like eggs and bacon, etc. at Topsiders on the last day.

our tablemates went to topsiders every day for a chocolate croissant so on the last day they went there for breakfast hoping to find one and they pretty much reported what you did, a very limited and disappointing continental breakfast. I'm glad they were disappointed because we got to have one last meal together, but it's definately not worth going to unless you are looking for the bare minimum.

In all fairness to DCL, I believe that the disembarking breakfast at Topsiders/ Beach Blanket Buffet is featured as a continental breakfast, not hot breakfast. We ate there on our last cruise, we had cereal, toast, muffins, donuts, milk and juice-I would have preferred a hot breakfast, but I couldn't get my family up in time. We were lucky that we even made it to Topsiders!

On the Wonder last Sunday they had scrambled eggs, bacon, donuts, toast, bagesl, fruit and cereal at the Beach Blanket Buffet the final morning.

They definitely do not have the large spread the last day but if you want something fast and don't want to get up early for your breakfast seating (especially if it's early) then it's okay for a quick bite. They do run out of stuff on that last morning so you take your chances the later you go. :)

And missing your scheduled breakfast is another reason to give your tip envelopes (with tips inside LOL) to your servers the night before at dinner. One less thing to think about on that last, very painful, departure day.

Thank you everyone for the very informative replies. It was definitely clarified for me. Thanks again.

Because of what I thought I had read previously, I told my family not to expect a "real" breakfast the last morning at Parrot Cay where we had had dinner on Thursday. Until then we had had all our breakfasts up at Topsiders with the exception of one buffet breakfast at Parrot Cay.

We were very pleasantly surprised to get a very nice hot breakfast. It was also nice to see our tablemates and servers for the last time. We had late seating and, although they seemed busy, our servers were just as pleasant and friendly as the other days.

Ruth - still in VERY bad withdrawal!
