Braces (Its official now)

I had a consultation with my orthodontist today and I am getting braces next month. But first I have 2 get a tooth pooled this upcoming Monday. Then I have 2 appointments for next month.

braces aren't that bad though, i've had mine longer than a year. I had to get 4baby teeth pulled, then four adult and it wasnt so bad. The adult teeth hurt because they didn't give me novacaine.... well, technically they did but it wore off on the first tooth cause it wasn't enough and they said they were almost done, and since i pass out at shots [especailly novacaine] i said it was fine, ooooh boy do i regret that.

before you go; take motrin or advil or something for the pain, take it like 30 min-1 hour before you go so it has time to kick in and hopefully it wont be that bad.

I will definatly take some advil or something along the lines of advil, tylanol before then! They told me that they give people a novacane before they pull it.

also; its not that painful once u get them, the first weeks the worst of the whole braces experience. when you get them tightened it doesnt hurt that bad, only a tiny bit, but it goes away really quick. all the 'pain' will be worth it once there off.

I never had to have braces, but my sister did. I'm sure that they won't be too bad for you

I had a tooth pulled once. I didn't feel it at all because the dentist made it numb. The teeth and person depend on the pain though. And for the braces, I have them. They aren't that bad.

I feel so bad for you. I HATED my braces.

I was in so much pain my doctor had to prescribe me tylenol with codeine.
