As my 5yo DS walks around in his sister's Snow White shoes, I got to thinking. Surely there's a lot of other boys out there who also (maybe secretly) love princesses.

With two princess-adoring sisters, it only seems natural that he would have an affinity for them. I've made him a prince charming dress up, and he wears it, but I know he has a soft spot in his heart for the princesses. We last went to WDW when he was almost 3 and he still remembers breakfast at CRT and now that we're planning another trip he hopes we can do it again.

Who else wants to join my "club"?

Sounds like your son will grow up to be the next Oscar De La Renta or Bagley Mishka. LOL! :flower3:

My ds8 even has a favorite princess, Ariel. He loves the songs from "The Little Mermaid", and he has a great time with it. That's our little not-so-secret, though. He would never want it known to his buddies, but he's singing along like an American Idol contestant in the living room.

My ds6 loves Snow White and has since he first met her three years ago at MK. She kissed him and left "lip prints" which he refused to wash off. He was upset on our last trip because we never ran across her except in the parade - he wanted another kiss!

My son is 5 also and loooves the princesses. He now has a 2 year old sister that has princess dresses and shoes & the boy is in Heaven! His favorite characters are the girls (villains too)! I'll join your club!

Here is my DS4 in his big sister's Snow White wig- she is 9, and has dressed him up more than once, and he doesn't mind :teeth:

He will usually play her prince!

I believe that children raised without gender bias are more well rounded and tolerent adults. My brother is a total sports obsessed, animal hunting, testosterone example of a man, he never even twitched when his sons took dance lessons, or wanted doll strollers to push their stuffed animals around in. Let little boys and little girls play with what they want eventually they will cave into all the other kids and play with boy or girl toys but at least they will not feel like they are weird before they even have a chance to hit preschool.

I couldn't agree with you more!
My DS 4.5 loves the princesses as well. He was Prince Eric for Halloween and has dressed up as Prince Charming and Prince Eric when we were in WDW. Other parents were making their little girls take pictures with him at 1900 PF!!! He of course being a little ham was loving it!

My DS3 LOVES the princesses. Ariel & Jasmine are top on the list - sleeps with their pictures (taken at the Princess Lunch in Norway). We read their books at night, we have Ariel toys for the tub, Princess coloring books, Princess stickers. I was making a castle cake this weekend for a bridal shower & was putting a Cinderella figurine on the castle & you would have thought I was styling one of HIS toys!!! "mine, mine, mine"

My ds 3 also likes princesses. My dd 10 loves Star Wars. I see nothing wrong with letting kids like what they want to. I think its insane to limit them because society says this is for boys and that is for girls. When I was a child I was only allowed to play Ms. Pac Man, lol and I am not kidding. My parents said it was the pac man for girls. Talk about crazy, You can imagine how they take to my star wars loving angel.

My soon to be 5 year old LOVES the princesses. He would rather play princesses with his sister then power rangers with his brother

Another mom with a princess-loving boy! My 2YO was as excited to see the princesses as was his 4YO sister! He loves girls, in general, but that's to be expected with 2 older sisters. We have all the trucks, blocks, etc. for him, so he just puts the princess dolls in those and drives them around!

I once worked with a woman who called him a sissy for carrying a doll around (this was in the Ys childwatch room) - I had to explain that he's in training to be a caring and involved dad!!!!:confused3

My DS is 3 and he LOVES princesses, he's learned well from his big sis! We were in WDW a year ago and he left lunch at Akershus with kisses all over his face and hw ould not let me wash them off! He also likes "boy toys" but he likes the princesses and their movies and he has his own baby doll- very well rounded! I should also add that DD5 has her own trucks, although she prefers the girly toys.
