Boys character breakfast to start April 1???

Now for my DS's turn.
We'll be looking for June 28th - I am hoping the ADR's are available soon. Our week is filling up with other great places to eat.

I will be booking for June 28th too!! We will probably do a later seating. Maybe we will see you there. Provided this character meal really is happening!

I spoke to a CM today while making ADRs and she couldn't really say, but she was leaning towards "yes there WILL be a character meal like this". BUT she couldn't say when. I told her we were going on 3/3 - 3/10 and she said to keep checking back because you just never know when it could start. I don't want to get my hopes up TOO high, but I'd be so happy if this meal started before I go, not 3 weeks later.

About the "boy" thing, I know that many of us are just STOKED that there will be a character breakfast that breaks out of the norm that boys will be interested in. I have two boys....

Cinderella's castle - out - they have no interest
Princess breakfast in Epcot - out - they have no interest
Ohana - Mickey (but now Lilo and Stitch - very fun)
Chef Mickey's - Mickey, etc....
Donald's in AK - Donald, etc...
Liberty Tree Tavern - Minnie, etc...
Crystal Palace - Pooh - not enough interest in these characters
etc.....

There's TOO many with Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, Chip N Dale. Not enough diversity and then the only other options are Pooh or Princesses. Doesn't work with my two boys. The Toy Story Bfast just adds that something we've all been looking for - even if we have girls or boys. I agree with what someone said that it's a shame it's not a PIXAR breakfast. And OMG a Power Ranger breakfast would be SOOOOO fun.

I hope that, one of these days, someone has a concrete answer on this one. The CM I talked to today actually made a crack that DISboards would probably know before she does.

It will be Called bREAKFAST AND bEYOND AND WILL RUN FROM OPENING THRU LUNCH. The characters confirmed are Buzz, Woody, Sarge, Mr.Incredible and or Woodys Girlfriend (I forget her name) I got this info from an old friend who works in the Entertainment Dept at disney (She also has fins as she used to portray the Little Mermaid)

Bo Peep is Woody's girlfriend but Jesse would seem to fit more with this cast. Jesse has the hots for Buzz she and Woody are just friends.

I spoke to a very nice CM while making other advanced dining reservations and quietly asked her about this. She laughed and said I was the third person today asking about it and knew exactly where I heard the information (on this board!) She said she had no info, but told me when the Lilo & Stitch breakfast started, they did not have any info until the very day that they began accepting ADR's, and anticipates it will be the same this time. She said to keep checking the DIS because they are the first to know!

just bumping for more info we will be at the world 2/26-3/3 so its not looking very good for this trip but we are trying the lilo and stitch breakfast.

I wonder if they(WDW) could not do a Character Meal with Pixar Characters Because of the potential split between companies....BUT NOW that Mickey & Buzz are Corporate Cousins, they can go ahead and release this great, fantastic meal !!

thought it was for breakfast only...couple posters mentioned lunch (or are we talking more of a brunch?)

Was thinking it'd be nice if they'd throw in the Fantasmic pkg too...hey, I can dream can't I?

Oooh--that'd be great. We have dinner ADR's for MM's just to get the Fantasmic Pkg. If I could get this meal as Fantasmic, I'd cancel the MM's and go to Sci-Fi instead. But I doubt it'd happen--all the Fantasmic Pkgs. are for dinners, not for breakfast or lunch.

Well, I will NEVER get to eat at 50's! I have wanted to do it for a long time, but they wanted Sci Fi, and then Mama's for the pkg...........so now it'll have to be H and V for this!

That's okay though, I was one of the ones who signed the Hero Meal petition for my boys. They would love it!

Wouldn't you think they should tell us when we can sign up rather than us calling all the time? They're going to get sick of DISers!
