I usually buy both of my kids (ds 11.5 and dd 10) a BAB unstuffed for Christmas. They used to bug me during Christmas break to go and get them stuffed and pick out outfits...etc. This year, my dd wanted hers stuffed immediately, got some accessories....etc

My sons is still in the cub condo in his closet :( I think he's grown out of them. He's not even put up a fight when I put all of his in box for storage/packing. Oh well, that saves about 30.00 around Christmas LOL

My DS 7 has lots of stuffed animals. We just went through his room getting rid of old toys and he wanted to keep all of his stuffed animals, he did decide that he wanted to hide his old Barney though so no one would make fun of him.

My nephew is 10 and he still has a few stuffed animals that he sleeps with.

My DS turns 11 in less than a month and you can't see his bed either, it's covered with stuffed animals! He loves his stuffed animals. For Christmas I even ebayed to get the Jedi and Darth Mickey's for him, they are now his faves! He barely has room on his bed for his REAL dog on there! LOL!

My 11yo DS still likes some stuffed animals. He has a ToT Goofy that he likes a lot and keeps it on his bed.

My DS 8 does not like stuffed animals. He is into sports and does not care about them. Now baseball hats is a different thing that he is crazy about.

My Christmas present from my parents was a stuffed Snuffleupagus bought from ebay-they threw out the original during my teenage years, and I never let them live it down. Now I want my big bird with broken neck back, and life will be complete again. I also have an "Animal" puppet from the younger days on the headboard of our bed.

Our 7 year old boy carries around stuffed lambs everywhere he goes-he also have a "secret compartment" in the backpack so lambie doesn't miss a day of school.

My 13 year old nephew bought several stuffed Stitches when we were at WDW in December.

Haven't read all the posts...

My DS (turned 8 last month) loves stuffed animals. He just got a 2 new Mickeys & a new Stitch in Disney last January. He sleeps with them every night. I see nothing wrong with a boy having stuffed animals.

Tell DH your son is fine.

My son is four and has lots of Beanie Babies..don't ever call them his dolls or stuffed animals though, he will correct you and tell you he does NOT have dolls, they are his "friends' or his "guys". LOL!!
So cute!
He sleeps with "Piggy" every night.

His piggy looks quite different though-he took black sharpie and gave him "hair", looks liek a rectangular toupee. :rotfl2:

Your post cracks me up because my 13 year old has quite a few action figures and don't you dare ever call them dolls! I don't see the difference really but he has always told me very seriously that only girls have dolls. ;)

As for stuffed animals, DS quit playing with them a few years ago but he still has them in his room. He got rid of his Disney characters :( but he still has a few larger bears and our old collection of Beanie bears. It must be a bear thing. :)

My husband tells my son to clean up his "dolls" all the time. :rotfl: It's a running joke in the house.
Ds is 8 and his collection has definately trimmed down in the past couple of years. He has a couple of favorites that he has on the bed with him. His "baby oddball" beanie comes with us whenever we go overnight somewhere.

My nephew is seven and still has some stuffed animals. He has a cat and a dog that he brings over when he spends the night, though he does not always sleep with them, more often than not they just end up in the corner. He also has his blankie still, which he uses as a pillow. I don't see anything wrong with it at all.

DS9 bought a Chip & Dale plush set and a Cheshire Cat plush at WDW in October. He has a frog from Build A Bear that Grandma bought for him on his birthday when he was 6 or 7 that he keeps in his bed. He also has a little stuffed gray cat that I bought for him when he was in the hospital in 2nd grade.

He has lots of "action figures", too. Star Wars guys, Godzilla, King Kong, all of them the hard plastic ones that nobody would cuddle with!

I think it should be up to each child when to give up their toys. If boys want to have stuffed animals then they should be allowed to have them. :)

My 13 year old son still has a bed full of stuffed animals. It's the top bunk and it makes for such a pain to change the sheets :) ! He just keeps them there, he doesn't play with them, but I don't see him tossing them any time soon.

The 8 year old has a stuffed whale named Frank he sleeps with each night.

My oldest DS is 23 and has a HUGE collection of animals.
He has one very speical animal named Parker Bear that he keeps on his maid bed,
The others are all stiches and Chips and Dales.
Before anyone sys anything negative about a 23 keeping a bear on his bed, DS has had some major medical issues.

My ds is almost 13, and there are a few stuffed animals that are still in his bed at night. And he still likes build a bear

My middle son is 18 and "hot" (hard for mom to say that). :) He's an athlete and lead singer/guitarist for a rock band. He skateboards, paints and can build anything out of wood or clay. He sleeps with a talking turtle from Build a Bear that his GIRLFRIEND gave him for Valentine's Day last year. Sometimes there's also a giant Sponge Bob in bed with him. In any case, he got SB for Christmas in 2004 from his OLDER brother. He's got various beanie babies on a shelf near the ceiling that runs the entire perimeter of his room.

I'm sure the turtle will go to college with him in the fall.

My 11-year-old still has lots of stuffed animals in his room. He isn't particularly interested in them nor does he want to get rid of them. If I told him we were going to Disney in an hour and he needed to pack, I'm positive he would pack his collection of Splash Mountain Beanie Baby size animals.

I'm not sure if my 22-year-old has any stuffed animals at college but he has three or four Sonic characters and his Teddy bear in his room at home.

My DH's Teddy Bear, which looks pretty pitiful, is in his closet.
