Boys and stuffed animals????

My son just turned 10 & he still loves his stuffed animals.....I don't think there's anything wrong with it at all.

My ds is 10 and is this hockey/football/rough-house playing boy. Then he goes to bed and snuggles with a different stuffed animal each night.

My ds is 2.5 and I always get him stuffed animals. His current fave is a plush fox from the Fox Hollow Inn on Long Island.

Telling a boy he is too old for plush animals is like saying we are all too old for Disney.

I bought my 17 yr. old son the Beagle from Build-A-Bear for Christmas.

Got my DH a cute HarleyD. Pig, it's in his workshop.

DS's ranging in age from 25 on down still have their stuffed animals, only problem is "weeding out" some of them periodically to make room for the next ones.

Still have some fav. action figures too (some MIB LOL), what's the big deal?

My DS is 8 and loves his stuffed friends - especially his BuildaBear bear! They all have names and special places of honor in his room.

My 16 year old was buying up beanies in WDW last May. I don't know, I think the fact that they're staying in touch with that sweeter, softer, childlike side of their personalities is a really wonderful thing.

A few years ago while at DW, DS(8) got very sick with the flu. Even wound up in Celebration hospital, and spent the rest of the trip in our room at WL.

We had a Mickey bear sent to the room with a note from Mickey saying that he was giving him his bear to help him feel better.

He LOVES that bear! Sleeps with it, takes it everywhere, though he did quit taking it in stores for fear of losing him.

Last year he just had to have a little brother for "Teddy", so we got one of the My First Disney Bear's, which he promptly named TJ! (Teddy Jr.)

My son will turn 10 in August, and I don't see him giving up his animals anytime soon. He loves them! Moreover, now he's into winning them when we go down the shore. He's addicted to the crank machines.

Last year, he collected all the characters from Family Guy. The year before, it was Hanna Barbera (Quick Draw McGraw, Wally Gator, Hong Kong Fooey, etc.) This year, I'm sure he'll be after another set of something. It's a lot of fun for him.

My 9 year old sleeps with Stitch and Hobbes (a tiger) every night. You can imagine the trouble the 3 of them can find at bedtime.

I don't see him giving up his stuffed animals any time soon. He's attached to them, and they travel with us if we go somewhere overnight.

Well, I can tell you that in the school my kids go to and my son who is in the 4th grade...there is a penguin craze going on. All of the boys are fascinated by penguins!! So, yes, he has a stuffed penguin that he carries to school everyday (as do all of the other 4th grade boys) and its not a little beanie. Its about 1/2 a foot tall. I think it all started when madigascar came out. He named his Waddle.

Can I say "THANK YOU" for this post?! Here I thought we were all alone.

DS 10 loves his stuffed animals and definately won't be giving them up anytime soon. He's an addict for them.

He even has a framed picture of "Bear" (his first and only lovie - Gund's Shatzey - who is in very sad shape) on his night table.

He even still dresses him!

His latest addiction is now "Ugly Dolls".....I definately feed the need; I think they're so ugly - they're Cute!

I loved stuffed animals when I was a kid and even now I have three teddy bears sitting on my bed.

When I was 12, I gave my stuffed animal collection to my grandmother for safe keeping because my family was moving around a lot. I did not play with them anymore, but they held a tremendous amount of sentimental value for me and my family. When I turned 14, I asked my grandmother for them back. She told me that she had given them away because I "was too old" to have them. My mother cried when I told her that and never forgave her. Even now I sometimes think with regret that a precious piece of my childhood was discarded.

my (almost) 8 year old's room is overrun with Mickeys, Build A Bear critters and various other stuffed animals. We finally had to put some of the Mickeys on rotation because there was no more room on his headboard.

He has a Mickey that he has slept with since he was about 9 months old. Until he was about 4, that Mickey would go everywhere with us. Now that he is older, Mickey only joins us for vacations (where he ends up making several new friends) Mickey is starting to show signs of wear, but you can tell he is very well loved. He's been to Texas, Georgia, Minnesota, St Louis, as well as sleepovers, doctor visits and hospital stays. There is no way we would get rid of that particular Mickey.

I had to set set down rules about stuffed animal buying when we travel. He can choose 1 full size thing and no more than 2 beanies from most vacations. Although for WDW we agreed to 4 or 5 beanies so he can get one from each park and one for the year's 'theme'

My 12DS used to love his beanie babies probably until he hit 11.

My 8DS just got a husky from Build a bear in January. He loves it. He dresses it and sleeps with it.

Tell your husband to relax. My mom once told me "little people, little problems....big people, big problems". I am finding this true as my oldest is growing up. I wish this was our biggest problem of the day.
