Made a deposit yesterday with a credit card, and I wanted to make multiple payments today with gift cards that we had collected over the last year. we have about $600 in Disney Gift Cards, but they're all small denominations like $25 each so I have a lot to enter.

I thought the first one went fine, but then nothing came off my total. It was like it didn't take it at all. So I try to use it again to make another payment (which requires backtracking) and I get a red error message saying they can't find my reservation. EEK! So I link my reservation again (for the third time) but I can't make payments now (literally, it says payment information not available at this time).

I call the phone number on the back of the one gift card I used, and it says the $25 is still on there, so I didn't lose anything at least.

I log out of the Disney website, log back in, and after 20 minutes I am finally able to enter the gift card information AND IT WORKS. $25 more knocked off my total. Great. Try to enter the next gift card? The system shuts me down again.

This is just the most recent fumblings I've had with that site. You would think a corporation as huge and profitable as Disney would make a website that works properly!

When paying with multiple gift cards, it is always best to call to make the payments. Not sure if the website puts a cap on how many you can use in one day, but I know with the Disney Store site, you can only enter one card number for payment. I always have to call with multiple cards.

Thanks for the information. I tried to make a payment a couple of days ago and got the same result. I have been avoiding the website like the plague since I booked my trip. I keep hoping it will get better. I tried to pull up some restaurant information and got Goofy telling me to try again later. Seriously, I just wanted the most basic information and can't get there. Thank goodness there are Disney message boards to get information from.

Look at the bright side - At least no one is in the parks right now trying to make changes to their FP+ assignments. Just imagine if the system depended on Disney's website functioning properly.

Thanks for the tip. That would probably explain my issues.

I guess I'll have to rattle off all these gift card numbers to a live person on the phone. I was hoping not to do that.

They do it all the time. It wont be a problem. Just be sure to keep all of your gift cards until after your trip is complete. Just in case you have to cancel or you get a discount for your dates. They will issue your refunds to the original form of payment, so keep them somewhere safe until you are 100% sure you no longer need them.:thumbsup2

Its seems to be off line now cant get in

Seems like whenever they need to update one part of it, the whole thing goes down.

Looks like they've been tweaking a page here or there in the MDX part of the website. Cause things will go down for me, and then when I log back in, a page has changed.

Actually I don't think you have to talk to a live person on the phone- last time I did it, their automated phone system let me make multiple gift card payments.

thanks again! I didn't even think about that.

Thank you sir, may I have another?

The phone lines are probably tied up completely today.

Oh well, this can wait. My payoff day is not until late August.

That is ridiculous. I understand a cap on the number of discounts you can use/transaction, but on gift cards!?

Most websites are set up that way. You just have to call to place the order instead. No biggie. They have never had a wait when I have had to call. Easy peasy.

It isn't something I've come across before. Thr fact that others.do it too doesn't change my opinion on it...that opinion applies to those companies.too.

Yeah the website seems to be having work done, however some things seem to be broken as they are making updates.

With regard to the multiple gift card issue, this frustrates me quite a bit. I called ticketing to get my annual passes due to the fact that I knew it would be an issue if I tried to process it online. I'd still like to see a single account that I could pay into. I know https://disneyvacationaccount.disney.go.com is out there, but I haven't investigated it yet.

In any case, it's just not a good user experience.
