Something tells me Julie is one of those people that probably has the names of her future children picked out already. How 'bout it Julie -- am I right?
First, congrats on the news! Second, I'm subscribing to this sort of selfishly as my wife and I are expecting our second child, a boy!, this October! I say selfishly as we are REALLY torn between a few names, and I figure this thread might give me some good ideas.
Anyway, here are a few near the top of our list (I no particular order):
Brogan
Aiden
Caleb
Luke
Liam
Nicholas
Braden
Again, congrats to both of you, what an exciting time!
When we were expecting our first child, we knew we'd get a lot of pressure from my Mother to pick a name that she wanted. To minimize that, we said that if it was a girl, we were going to name her Zelda and and a boy would be named Ogilthorpe. Of course, we were kidding, but it kept everyone off our backs and we had the time to pick the names WE wanted. Our daughter is named Elizabeth and our son is named Jonathan.....nice traditional names.
Corey and Julie, you're free to use Zelda or Ogilthorpe if you want!
With our first (a boy) we had his name picked out before the pregnancy, luckily he was a boy...Christopher Michael
With our second we toyed around with several boys names, we were so certain the baby would be another boy......Surprise..A girl! We were absolutely delighted but didn't have any girls names picked out. We decided right in the delivery room that she looked like Megan Nicole.
I love the name Aiden. I'm also fond of Connor and I never thought of it, but I like Trace too...that could be because of Trace Adkins though......YUM!
My favorite girl name at the moment is Aubree...I pushed hard for it in March when my niece was born, but it lost out to Makenna.
