Today and my kids are leaving for S. Florida to visit my parents along with DSIL and her 2 kids. We decided last minute that we would to a surprise trip to Disney (yea, just got my package via UPS yesterday and I wasn't even expecting one!) Anyway, my brother calls me last night and tells me that his wife's work will be calling me about Disney. OK

So DSIL calls me and tells me that since DSIL has been working so hard, they decided to buy the park tickets. Can they get a total? I said, I have to call you back and look at the price tickets. I call him back and say $356. He's says "WOW that was more than we thought, aren't you all only going to one park for one day?" I say "we'll yes, but its 2 adults and 4 kids". I greeted with silence.......he then says, "they are only paying for DSIL." Then he is greeted with silence. I try to joke about, now I'm wondering if he thought I was trying to scam him. I was so embarrased. They are going to overnight a check to my parent's house for her to have.

The more I think about it.....why would I even think that they would pay for my tix oh well.

No - I think she's paying for HER and HER KIDS, and the SIL is paying for her, and her kids....

Or maybe not.

Besides, the OP is loaded. She can pay for the SIL kids... in fact she probably should be paying for you and I too! And since she's already left on vacation, we can request whatever we want for her to pay for now!

CR - you are right, the boss is paying for her and her kids only. I assumed that when he said he wanted to pay for "the" park tickets, that meant all of ours. The funny part is that I paid for the package on my card, DSIL owes me 1/2 and now she get a check for $176. So as of now, she's MAKING money on this trip. (Oh and I'm "fronting" for the rental car too!
