HI, my daughter will be having a co ed bowling birthday party. Any favor ideas? They are 7 yr olds. Thanks for any help!

My DD has a bowling b-day party when she turned 9. I made bowling ball invitations from cd sleeves like the ones on this website:
http://familyfun.go.com/parties/birthday/feature/famf0304-bowling-party/

We also had a black round bowling ball cake. I bought bowling pin candles and little trophies for the guests here:

I bought bowling plates, cups, etc. like these. I found a better price online than this site, but this is what they looked like:

In the treat bags, I also put the round whoppers in snack-sized baggies and labeled the baggies as "bowling balls."

I don't really have a gift idea for the kids, but here is one fun one for your dd.

Ask the bowling alley if they have any pins for sale. They often have ones that are cracked or have been retired. For a few $ you can buy one and then have all the kids sign their names with sharpies. It is a gret little take home from the party

I have planned two bowling parties for my daughter. At both parties I had a bowling pin for all of her guests to sign with a sharpie (a great momento for her!). For the favors at her first party I went to my local bowling alley gift shop and purchased bowling ball banks and filled them with candy for the kids.

For her second bowling party I found a company that was able to engrave her name and the party date on bowling pin banks, which I also filled with candy.

Her second party the alley had glow-in-the-dark lanes so I ordered "flashing" bowling pins for all the guests to wear while bowling. These were a hit at the party. I can't remember exactly which site I used, but there are several that offer the flashing pins.

There are also several sites that have bowling novelites such as key chains, pens and mini bowling games.

Happy planning and have a great party! party:

When I had a bowling party for dd, I bought a couple of those cheapo plastic bowling sets (think they were 2.99 a set), and then cut the tops of the bowling pins so they were almost off (think hinged), and used those as the goodie bags. Cant remember what I filled them with. Then I taped the top back shut with thin black electrical tape. They looked pretty good.

I got so many compliments from doing something so easy. I felt like Martha Stewart for the day.

The bowling alley also gave us a pin for all her friends to sign.

Have fun with your party.

I am a "Birthday Party Coordinator" at one of the bowling centers in the area. I can't recall all the favors I've seen, but one that sticks out is the personalized tee shirts. I'm not sure if they were homemade or purchased from a printer. One mom put each child's name on the front (helps if you don't know all the child's school friends) along with a bowling pin. The other had a bowling theme and the birthday child's name and party info. Mostly the favors are traditional party favors like noise makers, whistles, pencils. Some are themed to the child's favorite character.

Our bowling center now provides themed cups, plates and napkins as part of the package. We also offer the real bowling pin for signing and a goodie bag with a paddle ball and other inexpensive trinkets, both for an additional fee. The birthday child now receives a bowling pin sports bottle instead of a t-shirt as a gift from the Lanes.

The mom gave out a Bowling Pin water bottle - she ordered them from Birthday Express.............

You could serve the drinks in the bowling pins sports bottles and then they can have them for faovrs. Write the names with a Sharpie. Of course with 20 it may get expensive. I had a hard time with RSVPs when I did 12!

DS is having a bowling party next month! I'm stumped on the favors as well. I'm usually good with that, but not this time! Thanks for the ideas!

I made a cute invite, so if you want me to email you the template OP I would be more than happy to.

I just had a party for ds last week- we bought our goody bags and fillers from Oriental Trading. I purchased the plastic bowling sets, medals, bubbles and sports pads, along with a bowling picture frame craft... I ordered the invites from ebay... they came out soooo cute!

here is a sample:

We just did a bowling party for dd's 5th birthday. It was really difficult to find themed favors, so I did what another poster also suggested, I bought a plastic bowling set and cut a slit into the top and filled with candy, pencils, etc. I found colored plastic tape in primary colors to tape up the slit and tied curly ribbon and a laminated thank you to the top. Also, I lucked out and found black water bottles shaped like witch cauldrons at the grocery store after Halloween, they were marked down to a quarter each. They looked enough like bowling balls to me and I used a silver sharpie to write each child's name on them. The party package came with a bowling pin for the children to sign, that was really nice and if you can find one, I think it's a great souvenir for the birthday girl.

I found some favors at www.birthdaydirect.com. I think I'm going to get the plastic cups and fill them with stuff and then put them in the cello bags and tie a ribbon on them.

I have never thrown a bowling party for DD or DS, just wanted to say that you all are VERY CREATIVE!
My kids have been to so many parties where the goody bag was a little baggie with just a few pieces of junky candy thrown into it, that these postings just made me say "WOW!" DD once came home from a party with a plastic cup with some random company's logo and some post-it notes with a different company's logo and a pencil -- yup, with a different logo. Think they just raided their drawers for party favors.

Dont forget to check your local dollar store . They may have some good ideas there.
