Rite Aid took care of this with our insurance company for me. I had the same issue-- 30 day mark was after we left for our cruise. They were able to do a one-time vacation over-ride to get fill two rounds of the same prescription within the same time period.

I'm gonna try and talk to the manager (we are dealing with Rite Aid and it's the only pharmacy in town). Going to attempt it one more time before biting the bullet and buying the meds :)

Everyone is talking about weighing their luggage so I am sure you know the answer....

We are flying Delta California to Orlando; AA Spain to California.

What limit do we have on the number of bags per person (free)?
What is the weight limit per bag?

And yes this means we are starting to pack:rolleyes1

:rotfl::rotfl2::lmao: A quick 10 miles???Quick???? When I was in better shape in October I ran a 10k and it took me an hour and a half and I was dying afterwards. You are probably like on of those crazy people that did it in just over a half hour!:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2: I am laughing but truly in awe of anyone that can run that well!

That's awesome - a really strong 10K time... and I always found that a hard distance to run.

I'm not really all that fast, especially after a badly broken ankle a few years back, so 'quick' was relative...

But what's funny about me is that I'm what a friend calls an "Adult Onset Athlete." I've battled my weight most of my life, and nine years ago started run/walking right before my wedding. I was 252 lbs (at 5'4") and a size 22. I lost more than 115 lbs primarily from running (and because after I run, I feel like I don't want to 'waste' all that effort by eating junk). The coolest thing, though, isn't what I lost - it's that I gained this athlete! I was totally the last kid picked for gym my whole life. And while I'm not the fastest person out there, I'm also not the slowest, and have won my share of age group trophies. The first time I placed, I thought I was going to cry. Who knew I could be good at something athletic! I'm insanely proud of all my little medals, cause it's something I NEVER thought I could have done. And it makes my heart totally sing when the kids ask me if they can come watch me 'runnin' in da race."

Off to buy lots of socks (ours were flood victims :lmao:) and a new pair of cheapie sunglasses. And sunblock. And maybe a dry erase marker... I love that idea!

No.

Woody

Wow! You could teach me a thing or two!

Maybe I'll be talking to myself:confused3

Nope! I'll be here at least until Wed/Thurs. We are leaving early Fri morning for a wdw overnight before the cruise but this week I'm still here :)

Realized all errands should be done TODAY since lots of places will be closed tomorrow.

Me too! I've been running around buying travel sizes and thinking of any last minute purchases...I'd like to start packing soon so I want to get all of the buying done asap.

Our prescription company is giving us a hard time with getting a month worth of meds to take (we are on both cruises). Since it is like a 30 day issue thing and our 30 day mark comes up in a week they can't do it Yes, we could buy the meds and probably will have to but dd meds are so expensive (no generics) and we are looking at about 1k out of pocket to make sure meds are covered for the month. Not making me a happy camper.

Happy weekend to everyone!

We hade the same issue , the pharmacist called our company for what he called a "vacation override", and I did the same, to be on the safe side. We just had everything filled last week, but we'll be picking up NEXT month's supply on Monday. They did mention that not everyone's plan allows it:confused3, but good luck.

I'm not 100% sure but I think as long as your phone is 3G then you can get an international plan. Your best bet is to ask the verizon guy. I'm telling everyone to email me since I will have my laptop with me and not to depend on me being able to pick up messages or return calls. This is the probem with technology now is that people expect you to be in touch 24/7 even on vacation.

I think I have everyone confused on my phone thing - it is not for the cruise - it is for this new thing at WDW - It allows you to find out the wait times at rides, where characters are at, etc. It is a real time thing.

As for my blackberry working on the ship - it does great there - and when we get to Europe my DH's blackberry is the world one and he already has an international plan on it so we will use that - at least till we part ways with him in Paris :(

I'll be on the luggage scale quest again this weekend. This time will be makeing a few phone calls before I head out. I'm betting I'll have luck with either Bed Bath & Beyond or The Container Store. Just waiting for them to open so I can call.

Realized all errands should be done TODAY since lots of places will be closed tomorrow. So Sunday morning will be tax day. My sister just told me last night that the state of AZ might not have enough money to give everyone their refunds!!! I don't want a tax credit...I want $$ to give to VISA! :scared1:

I got mine through Amazon - love it - does in both lbs and kg - it was $19 - you can still order and do their 2 day service and get it by Wed. if you need too.

Within the United States and to/from Canada, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico
On flights within the United States and flights to and from Canada, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico, you will be charged the following fees for the first and second checked bag (each way, for round trip):

•if checking in online at delta.com
•$23 USD/CAD* for the first checked bag
•$32 USD/CAD* for the second checked bag
•if checking in via ticket counter, kiosk, or curbside at the airport
•$25 USD/CAD* for the first checked bag

We are luckly that DH is a platium because we all get to take 2 bags each for no charge and that is what we are doing.

I am not sure of the exact specifications for each airline but you could have different restrictions since they are different airline carriers. If you go to their website it should give you the details.

So lucky! Thankfully we are doing Southwest on the way there, and international on the way back. We will only have JFK back to Boise that we have to pay a luggage fee. :(

Almost, but not quite!

Tried skimming the last few pages. I've been out of touch due to work and life. Here's a tidbit of what is running through my head.

Got pulled over last night about 50 feet away from our destination. Turns out have a light out, so need to go deal with that. Stupid car was just out of the shop for the A/C.

Had to go visit our condo, we hadn't been up in about a month and due to this vacation won't be visiting it for quite a few more weekends. Also am loaning it to a friend while they open their camp up. Turns out the water heater is rusting out and we need to figure out how to deal with it this weekend, in case it gives out and floods. Fun!

Had drained a foot off the pool. Then got more rain this week. Then drained a little bit off, but not nearly enough. Am not home to drain it this weekend. Will have to try to drain it a little bit each day this week. I hope it is a light rain in April or my parents will have to come over and drain it.

Have been sick all week. Now Dan is getting it.

Have thought about packing, but haven't really started. Did laundry and put it in laundry baskets for sorting/packing. Bought some new tops at Avenue that are light, so hopefully won't have to sort too much.

Called to fill on the dog's prescriptions. Need to pick that up.

Was going to drop off the dry cleaning Monday, but might be dealing with water heater drama.

Also need to visit tax lady to sign our docs. Have pestered hubby to call multiple times to let her know we won't be here after the 10th. Need to find some time this week.

And of course I am fretting about everything (rain, taxes, water heater, Today my drama is about mouth wash. We usually don't pack it because it weighs too much. So we usually stop and buy it on our way to the port. Of course usually we fly in the night before and usually have a rental car. But instead we are flying in the day of and taking the magical express. So maybe I should just pack it.

Once I get on the boat. I'll be calm. I promise!!

I was the same way too. I probably am again since I haven't been able to work out at all in 6 months or so because of illness and have been eating junk because it cheaper and trying to save money. We did the Race for the Taste at Epcot and my only goal was to not finish last and not be pulled off the course because I was too slow. I accomplished that. I was very proud of that fact. That is why I want to get back to working out on the ship. That way when we can get back we can go back to healthy eating and get back in shape again.

I'm VERY excited for this trip BUT I'm nearing panic mode!! Stressed about weight of suitcases, getting suitcases packed, and a lot of last minute purchases that are adding up!!! I was also excited that I completed my taxes and was getting my refund deposited on the 9th ( which would have been great for trip and pre-paying some bills). Well there has been a SNAFU and looks like that refund will be delayed...maybe by 2 months:scared1:!

It will all work out - the trip will be fabulous!!!! I was just hoping that this week would be a little less stressfull:sad2:

I totally agree. We are finishing up taxes this week and have EVERYTHING left to do. I was not as worried because we have done it before, but now that the time is coming up, I am starting to freak ou!

Okay Mike & Nick, that's two total for laundry right? While I guess it's true we will be just two total for this cruise my main job in life is laundry, cooking, dishes and cleaning soooo no real vacation includes any of the above for me! Yeah, I'm spoiled that I get to do that and stay home with my kids too and not bring in an income right now but I sometimes think I save so much money by doing things myself I earn enough to take fabulous cruises! :rotfl: Now DH? Honestly? Never done one single load of laundry in his life, came close one time (extended hospital stay for me) but escaped at last minute as he was on the phone with me asking how to turn the washing machine on and another "more important" crisis came up! We still laugh about it.

I asked DH to get the clothes out of the dryer, he called from the basement to say they were still wet, when I went down to check I found out he was looking at the washer. So it's fair to say he will not be doing any laundry while we are away.

For Delta -- it depends when you bought the ticket. They have no free bags anymore, but if you bought your ticket between 7/16 and 1/4, your online checked baggage fees are $15 and $25 for the second bag. Anything after that becomes obscene. If you check in at the airport, these fees are $5 higher.

If you bought your tickets after 1/4 Krisann's answer is correct.

AA gives you 1 free bag from Europe, the 2nd one is $50.

I am not sure if it would be a good thing or not...but... I would be willing to take the DH's with me to the Laundry room and teach them how to seperate close, wash and dry them....

Today has been a really good day!

We are mostly packed. DH and I ran errands. I went and got a pedicure. We have done a bunch of laundry (still on going) and we just finished tidying up the first floor.

My magnets and FE gifts are done and packed up. I have printed off the awards ballots and they are packed. I am in good shape.

I am sure there are other trip related things I could be doing, but at this point I am just going to kick back and enjoy the day.

Hi fellow Disney FAN-atics!
My husband and I are sailing on 4/10 and looking forward to meeting other cruisers. I realize we are too late to get in on all of the fun you have planned and hope to meet up with you anyhow! We live near Tampa FL (relocated from NJ) and are DVC members practically since it opened. My friends & neighbors think that I am always at WDW but I tell them that I was not there in April 09 at all!!
Looking forward to a great time and hopefully making lots of new Disney friends.

are you changing airlines - like separate tickets - meaning you will have to claim luggage and recheck in with another airline?
