Hi fellow Disney FAN-atics!
My husband and I are sailing on 4/10 and looking forward to meeting other cruisers. I realize we are too late to get in on all of the fun you have planned and hope to meet up with you anyhow! We live near Tampa FL (relocated from NJ) and are DVC members practically since it opened. My friends & neighbors think that I am always at WDW but I tell them that I was not there in April 09 at all!!
Looking forward to a great time and hopefully making lots of new Disney friends.

Still have to do the big grocery shop for the kids before I go, find them each some cash and remember to leave them my BJ's and Costco cards. Remember to leave them the ships emergency contact number. Dropped off library stuff today.
.

Just saying hello. Jim & Norma Jean who have over 60 cruises and many TA's will be taking our 1st Disney cruise next week.
I can't believe they are giving you a hard time about the meds! I went to Walgreens this morning to explain that I will run out of three of mine while on the trip, but it's too early to fill. They sent a "vacation override" request to Aetna and I pick them up tomorrow! I would have been satisfied with a partial to get me back home, but very pleased Aetna is being nice to me - especially since two of them are blood pressure meds.
Hope it turns out that they relent and let you get the meds.

Oh well, gonna I hope be able to get reimbursed through our flexible spending account if we send in receipts at years end.I will be at the hotel most of the day as I have Friday off and will be driving down that morning. My friend, who will be taking my car back home, and I plan on spending time at the pool during the day. Not really planned much beyond that.

I havent been on this thread in over a week and boy oh boy, there was a ton of pages to catch up on. My DH flew home from Iraq on Saturday.
However, on a sad note, my family could use ALL of your prayers.
We have had a major issue with my 20 year old DS and at this time he is in the Behavioral Center at our local hospital.
I am having a hard time with the fact that we are leaving in a week, and not knowing what is going to happen with my DS.
As promised here is a picture of what the message board on Stateroom 7542 will look like....
Original plan was to use an 11x11 board but decided to use an 11x17 board instead. This was there is plenty of room for lots of messages.![]()
They've also got Spinner spin cycles.

That's awesome - a really strong 10K time... and I always found that a hard distance to run.
I'm not really all that fast, especially after a badly broken ankle a few years back, so 'quick' was relative...
But what's funny about me is that I'm what a friend calls an "Adult Onset Athlete." I've battled my weight most of my life, and nine years ago started run/walking right before my wedding. I was 252 lbs (at 5'4") and a size 22. I lost more than 115 lbs primarily from running (and because after I run, I feel like I don't want to 'waste' all that effort by eating junk). The coolest thing, though, isn't what I lost - it's that I gained this athlete! I was totally the last kid picked for gym my whole life. And while I'm not the fastest person out there, I'm also not the slowest, and have won my share of age group trophies. The first time I placed, I thought I was going to cry. Who knew I could be good at something athletic! I'm insanely proud of all my little medals, cause it's something I NEVER thought I could have done. And it makes my heart totally sing when the kids ask me if they can come watch me 'runnin' in da race."
Off to buy lots of socks (ours were flood victims) and a new pair of cheapie sunglasses. And sunblock. And maybe a dry erase marker... I love that idea!

I think I have everyone confused on my phone thing - it is not for the cruise - it is for this new thing at WDW - It allows you to find out the wait times at rides, where characters are at, etc. It is a real time thing.

By the way, we are flying to Rome after the cruise and will stay there 4 days. We have not yet booked a hotel. Does anyone have a recommendation for a hotel there?
We were in Rome last summer and we stayed at the Best Western Hotel Canada. It was by the Termini train station. It has pretty good reviews, a nice hotel and the price was good. We found a cheaper rate by booking on the Italian Best Western web site than the US site. We would definitely stay there again if we were staying in Rome again.
I see you're from LA also... so are we!
Suzy

Thank you for the suggestion!!!
I will check it out! Nice to see someone is still on the discussion board...it's late for those on the east coast=)
But not for those of us in the South (we're on CDST). Fun avatar.
