...I'm usually leaving my house an hour+ later than I should, with about three extra bags - because I ran out of time and panic'd, and put in everything that wasn't nailed down

I always say "this time will be different".....hmmm we'll see what happens!!!

Oh yes, that's familiar... me too, and then I have so much stuff I never use!


When I'm traveling a lot, I keep a group of clothes & travel essentials ready to go (pretty much duplicate a few things), but lately we're moving from one city to another & boxes are everywhere, so...can't find stuff, getting stressed, need to start packing.... Where is my stuff???

We are using Daniel Madeira Taxi as are some others on this thread. (http://www.danielmadeirataxis.com/). We have a family of 4 going for 4 1/2 hours for 95 Euros.

We have an itinerary as follows:
Monte - taking the Cable Car up to Monte and the Toboggan ride downhill (10 euros and 12.50 euros per person respectively)
Pico dos Barcelos
Curral das Freiras
Câmara de Lobos
Cabo Girão

You can print it in black and white or color, double sided or single sided. I would welcome feedback, but at this point unless there is an actual mistake, I prefer not to tweak it any more. just a little rant - was all excited because we have verizon wireless and was going to do that new thing they have for WDW - I go out spend time registering for different things for the disney stuff and then getting out to verizon to register for this service (it is 9.99 for 180 days) and then to find out my blackberry is not one of the phones you can use this on!!!! just frustrates me - you would think they would make it so it would work on all there phones!

LOOKS GREAT! Thank you for all your hard work! Only thing I saw is that later down in the list you do not have my info next to the Digital Scrapbooking - but that is ok because you have it in the upper part - so no biggie!

I found FE homes for 98 of my items and was on to the next 160+ pieces when I stumbled upon this photo and had to play a little. (The name of the ship is the Cougar Ace, it was transporting over 4,000 Mazda vehicles in 2006 when it capsized in Alaska). Probably because all the cars were left-hand drive.

DH and I just put a major dent in our packing. Progress! I feel so much better.

I gave myself an incentive to pack early -- I would treat myself to a movie.

I'm practically done packing, and felt I needed a reward. So tonight I went to the Paul McCartney concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Awesome!

We are always still packing at 3am the morning we leave
DH and I were talking about it yesterday and decided if we can be packed/house cleaned up/ready to go by (next) Fri @ noon, we are going to the movies & dinner.

Ok purchase our Disneyland Paris tickets before the price went up on Friday

Krisann, if you like, I can give you the park map from our last visit to Disneyland Paris (it has both Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney Studios)

The map can help you identify which rides and attractions are different than at the U.S. parks, so you can make the best use of your time.

NINE DAYS! Butterflies in tummy.

Had to resubmit Fed taxes. It seems if you filed an ammended return (like I did) you need to use the "orignal" adjusted gross income when e-filing. Well, that's done and I hope my Uncle Sam likes it this time.

Still have state to do. But that's easy.

Threw some undies in a zip-lock yesterday. Does that count as packing? Refilled an Rx so I'll have enough to get me through the cruise. Got my hair cut--not too happy with result. Oh well, my hairdresser had her baby yesterday so I had to use somebody else. Will color hair this weekend so you all don't have to see my white "skunk roots".

Still not sure exactly what I'll be packing. I always bring too much. Will try to be good this time. (Note to self: Remember, Barbara, there are laundry rooms on this ship.)


Only port I have plans for is Madiera. Thinking HOHOs or cabs (if I meet others looking to share) for other ports.

Hope the time change isn't too grueling. I'm nomally awake by 3:30-4:00am, so it may not be as bad for me as it will be for others--especially west-coasters. But that first week back at work should be a beast.

Putzing around on the DCL web site, and saw that they have added the concierge suits to the online booking system. Easier to book them, but apparently not easier to afford them . . .
