If you don't slow down, I'll throw up.

Like our final Bill?

I just looked at our WB PC final bill. Gulp.

My current packing question: fit in the small fan we like for ambient noise in the room, or take it out to make room for small bottles of wine?

This reminded me that on our last cruise our youngest still needed her sound machine for sleeping so we had ambient noise. But we don't use that anymore. I wonder if I need to pack a fan? Dh will die if he sees a fan in the luggage. ha!

One of my goals for this trip was to start a blog too. Here it is, not too exciting yet but neverless will be once we start our journies!

:thumbsup2

Right now I have 2 bags willie-nille but it's a start. The last thing I would love to buy but it's not necessary is a Kindle. I will save the money for the trip but gosh I'd love one.

I'm so happy to announce that I finished and ordered my photobook of our WB PC trip in 2008! I *had* to finish it before this trip. It ended up being 87 wonderful pages! :cloud9:

Yay for all the teachers on board. :teacher: Very kind of you to offer your services. :thumbsup2

I had a great idea last night.

Why dont we pose inside the basketball court up against the net so it looks like we are caged? Then we could do a nice one standing by the railing with the ocean in the background.

the funniest one would be if one of the newly wed husband's (or any 20 something male) could be borrowed for a picture. He would be on the deck with all of us kneeling around him pretending to be sinking our claws into him. He would have he head lifted up with one arm reaching out for "help".

Anyway, just an idea.

Woody: your Portuguese of the day made me laugh out loud this morning.
Lynne: beautiful nametags-are you by chance procrastinating on doing taxes?

Your asking the wrong lady...I've been saving the shipping cartons from the wine my husband has shipped to the house so I can pack and bring some wine on board.:drinking1

The time is getting closer, and stress levels will climb, But we are here to have fun!

I just wanted to post this again for everyone who is working hard so we will have fun.

LOVE it Terry!! I second the motion!! :thumbsup2

...and Thank You to all who have taken us "newbies" under your wings!!
Had I not found you, you would have found me walking around in circles in the port prior to embarkation

The suspense is killing me!!............

I would give you the clues but it's wouldn't help you...Just a few days at the beach with my friend and her 2 kids, a dog, a cat...and lots of wine.
I can't go away for more than a few days..do you know how long it woudl take me to catch up on the disboard:surfweb:

Hi all!

As I said in earlier posts, I would like to organize a little performance for the kds to be in together. It is free obviously and ALL children ages 4-10 are allowed to participate. There are NO auditions...it is for fun!! I cannot stress that enough.

The two songs I will be teaching the kids are: "I Won't Grow Up!" from Peter Pan and "Hakunah Matata" from The Lion King.

I will gladly do this for the older kids with different songs as well if there is a need.

My friend Jack (the magician) who I spoke about earlier will be helping me as well as some teachers on this DISboard who have volunteered. It is going to be sooo much fun!

Please reply if you are interested and I will start a list. I need at least four kids for this to work. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Natalie - This sounds like a very fun thing for the kids. I did want to mention that the Club does put on a Talent Show for the children.

I had no idea. I can totally cancel the talent show then. I just thought it would be fun. I just was part of the national tour of ANNIE. I taught the kids that played the orphans. We had soo much fun. Jack (our company manager) and I (the tutor) tried to get the kids from our tour and the parents to go on the cruise but they can't because of school. (They missed almost 4 months.)

Anyway, that is our background story...

Wow. Do you remember yesterday (I think) when someone (sorry - I forgot who) reported that they'd been upgraded from an 11ADA to an 8ADA (I think) and their dm was upgraded too? Well, we got the abandoned 11ADA! I finally faxed in dh's medical form today, so maybe that had something to do with it.

Cool, huh? True, we lose our upgraded porthole, but I think we'll be so happy with a little extra room for the wheelchair, plus safety bars and all! So the new room is 7631 - whoa! Even on the party floor! I'll change it on the spreadsheets.

That was us! My mom is in the accessible room. If your dh uses a wheelchair, he will be SO much better off in an accessible room and having a bathroom with no step to get in, grab bars, and no tub. So happy that this worked out for you!!! :yay: The accessible rooms are so hard to get so it's pixie dust for all of us!

Very cool! Our school is doing a production of Annie Jr this year.

Again, thank you for your offer, I still think it's a great idea and some may be interested...Maybe your services would be best utilized assisting the CM's at the Club to orchestrate and direct the talent show already planned. :confused3 You're clearly over qualified for their talent show...I've seen it. ;) So they may welcome some experience.

I want to emphasize that I wasn't dismissing your idea at all... Thanks for your enthusiasm! :cool1:

Thanks!! I would love to help them too..I wonder if they would let me!!

I have a DD(8) who would LOVE this.

I can't believe that the trip is this close! It seems like the last month has flown by.

I did cross one thing off the never-ending to-do list today. I added ground transfers for me and DH from the port in Barcelona to the airport. I figured since there were so many of us on the same flight, they wouldn't dare get us there late!

Now, only 957 more things left to do in the next 2 weeks....:rolleyes1

Brooklyn and Madison would love to do this! Depending how it all works out time wise. Brooklyn LOVES musical theatre and Madison was bitten by the last month when she was in her first stage show.

This should help with your transport problems

Thank you so much! I sent them an email.

Question of the Day

What time will you be getting off the ship at Castaway Cay?

As early as possible!!

May I just say, in the nicest possible way, that I would deeply appreciate it if you blankety-blank folks who are packed and sitting on your suitcases would tone down the public gloating! No, I haven't done any of those things yet. But I will, sometime in the next two weeks (I hope...). One problem with having down-sized the house is that we have no spare beds or spare door-frames or even corners to put the pile of things to go!

Just kidding, I can stand hearing how well prepared you all are. But think, you'll miss the adrenaline rush of staying up all night the night before madly trying to accomplish everything before the plane leaves. I'm not sure I'd know how to begin a trip in any other way...

On another note, I just heard an NPS story about Q fever in the Netherlands. I hope Yvette and Emiel have managed to avoid it.

See you (all too) soon,
Ann

Hehehe, right there with you. I need to do packing this weekend!!

I feel like I have SO MUCH to do before vacation and less than two weeks now to get it done. Two weeks from right now my family and I should be relaxing at the WL pool :D CAN'T WAIT!!

We FINALLY finished making our FE gifts. They look really cool and I can't wait to get them out to everyone. I think you'll all like them.

Salvatore's tuxedo has been hemmed. He's going to be too cute!

I have to start packing everything and putting together my folder of tickets/confirmations/etc.
