...He is not totally thrilled but I told him he could wear it or not come on the cruise! ...
That really tells me how he is doing - otherwise, you wouldn't be threatening him!
Lynne,
Do you need to print a copy of your Cruise Contract and bring it to the terminal? I don't ever remember doing that-- we just fill out everything in our "hard" documents (and online) and the CM at the terminal just rips out what she needs... Has something changed?
My 3 check-ins were very similar as far as paperwork and got streamlined as I went from Newbie to Novice. I think they must have dropped the Bahamas Immigration form. Of course, the first time I had a copy of everything ready.
But I've learned that I'll be handing them the following (and I use the online print-out because it includes both my niece and me):
Passports for everyone
Credit card for room charges (for validation)
Cruise contract (Online Check-in form) - printed front side only
If filled out online, the Embark-Departure Form and Payment Authorization Form don't need to be brought with you.
Now, if anyone has cruised recently and found out otherwise, let me know!
I like having a CM going through the queue and checking to see that you've got everything you need - so much better than waiting until you get to the counter.
We each have our own idiosyncrasies; being able to hand over the exact right items for check-in is one of mine - I like to have my ID ready when I'm checking in luggage and I am prepared to pay at the grocery/department stores before they tell me my total, not reaching for my wallet like it's a big surprise after they finish scanning all the items.
