So sorry about your mom. Prayer for a speedy recovery, and good follow-up!!!

My mom is 89 and I just pray each time I leave that she will be fine.....and this time we are gone for 5 weeks!! I think we just have to trust that everything & everyone will be fine while we are gone or we would be afraid to plan. So far so good, lol.

Thank you. My DM is only 70, but my MIL is 88, so I know what you mean. I am not a worrier, in general, and choose to just go with the flow. Partly because I'm a social worker and deal with death/dying on a regular basis, I've learned to enjoy the blessings of life and loved ones every day (although some days, it isn't easy!). I hope your mom remains vibrantly healthy....just think of the wonderful tales you will have to share upon your return.

Thank you - we are up this morning - it still is spreading but he can still move his finger so I assume once the dr. comes by they will send us home.

UPDATE: saw sergeon and he says it looks good - no infection - swelling is just the reaction from the spider bite - will continue to watch for infection but at home - now just waiting for the attending dr. to come and tell us we can go home - already talked to our Pedi this morning and she said she had talked to the attending dr. this morning and she will be sending us home. So now I need to go home and finishe packing!

When I was on the Magic in February Brent said he would be on the EBTA. I lot of the dining crew were leaving for vacation and returning April 24th.

My previous server (was on April 2009 & December 2009) went on vacation, and will be returning April 2nd.

It's overcast and drizzly here today so I may get a headstart on that shopping yet! Also on my "to do" is figure out a plan for our day at CC - i.e. print out map, decide when to get off ship, where we'll hang out, activities etc.

We are also going on the Eastbound transatlantic cruise. Like 'Mrshart', we are a Mr. & Mrs. Hart. On April 11th, we'll be celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary at Castaway Cay!

Got a question for fellow travellers on this cruise. We are going on a 4.5 hour taxi tour of Madeira. The company contacted us and said that if we could get another couple to come with us, we could split the cab fare with them. It is a really nice tour, seeing lots of great views of the island. We usually feel the 'more the merrier'. So, feel free to let me know if you are interested. We'll be going no matter what. Looking forward to seeing other transatlantic travellers like us.

Last night I made LAVA CAKE using the recipe in the DVC magazine.

It was a little over-baked...At the recommended time it looked totally uncooked, so I gave it a few extra minutes. DD's reaction "OMG this is FANTASTIC! ISN'T this like the best thing you've ever tasted?" It actually came out better than I expected. I mean, I don't have fancy ramikens, etc...(I used cupcake pans and the two proper baking containers I had).

Still...Disney dreaming......

Sorry to hear about your night in the hospital with your son. Hope he is feeling better today.
We get all kinds of spiders down here too. I was vaccuuming my pool on Friday, and when I opened the top of the skimmer, there was a red widow spider with an egg sack right on the inside of it. YIKES.
