I would appriciate yours prayers, good thoughts, positive energy (etc.) for my Grandmother.

We got some very bad news yesterday that my Grandmother has reached the stage where her leukemia is no longer treatable. She is qucikly coming to the end of her life and will likely only have a few weeks to live. She is headed home today to be cared for in place by family and hospice care. Your good wishes for her comfort and peace would be greatly appriciated.

Great idea! My DH is definitely a "red-won't stand out" name, he would smile and be polite but would be thinking, what has my crazy wife gotten me into now?

My DW is definitely a "red-won't stand out" name, she will smile and be polite, talk you ear off and think, WHAT, my Crazy Husband has finally gotten into something that involves talking to people.

They'll get over it.

My DW thought the same thing at first. One of my DISBoard friends passed her onboard and said "Hello Annette". She was stunned! She finally came to realize most are really cool people.

We got upgraded!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess my emails got some results. DCL just called and actually apologized to me about our reservations. To make a very long story short we are now in 6140 for both cruises.

I will change my number on the spreadsheet.

Lynne- Do you need this room for the tour?

Depends on which CMs are on the boat - sometimes there's a runner and sometimes not. If DCL offers the morning run on CC, just show up and follow the CM - they will show you, on the map, the course to follow. If DCL is not offering the 5K, perhaps all the runners can be ready to go when the boat is cleared by Bahamian officials. CC can be very empty at the beginning of the day (and cooler, too).

...Name tags: thanks for the input. I'm made several variations, but Tinked's reaction that her friend wasn't a DISer gave me the inspiration to put the gold/red color code on it.

Took Stephanie's suggestion for card stock (for magnets) and applied it to the nametags - what a difference. Paper gets wavy when the ink goes on; the card stock stays nice and straight.

I'm starting to think there's NO WAY I'll be able to fit everything for the four of us into THREE luggage bags. I'll be driving myself crazy with that for the next three weeks.

Meanwhile, the taxi service I'd booked in London has apparently gone out of business. Luckily, I never processed a payment with them, so I'm not out of pocket, but I'm having a TERRIBLE time finding a taxi service with a minibus large enough for my whole group (10 people) plus all of our luggage.

...Game Time with S. Long will be in Diversions at 1:00 most days - if you want some game time and need other players, these could be the places for you to hang out. Another beauty of DIS - finding playmates (and it doesn't have to be just organized activities).

I haven't played canasta in YEARS!!!

I'm planning on bringing my Phase 10 cards & maybe the travel Yahtzee & Boggle (if my mates want to play w/ me).

Tony and I love playing card games. All four of our boys are big board game players. Now that they are all grown up and out of the house per se, we don't get the chance to play so much. It will be fabulous having time to play with you all on the cruise. Phase 10 is a favorite. I love yahtzee too. We have King's Corner and Dutch Blitz that we can bring.

Tony and I love playing card games. All four of our boys are big board game players. Now that they are all grown up and out of the house per se, we don't get the chance to play so much. It will be fabulous having time to play with you all on the cruise. Phase 10 is a favorite. I love yahtzee too. We have King's Corner and Dutch Blitz that we can bring.

My husband and I love to play card games as well. Some of our favorites are Disney & Pirates Uno and Set. I think we are planning on bringing those with us but I am not sure yet. I have only been vaguely throwing things in the suitcase that I know we won't need between now and then. Only three more weekends to pack!!!

You've got them. It's a road I have walked. I believe others can share in your burdens when they themselves have walked through them. Thanks for sharing and keep us posted on your Grandmother.

Regarding the QOTD:
This is our first Disney cruise, so we'll find lots of new things to do. Last year for our honeymoon, we did a 10 day cruise, which seemed so short. Our cruises before that were 14 (Alaska B2B) and 15 days (circle Hawaii). Haven't done a 7 day in a few years. Love sea days.

Things we like to do....sleep in, read, go in the hot tub, walk the ship, attend any sort of karaoke/dancing/game show, and stay up late in the bars socializing with new friends we meet.

Some things we don't typically do, but will probably do on this cruise is go to the movie (chance to see if the new 3D gives us a headache-traditional 3D does, so we've never paid to see a 3D movie) and the shows (the shows on HAL are not for us).

One thing that doesn't seem to be as big on Disney is trivia; we are used to scheduling our day around attending trivia. Some of the recent daily programs I've seen have some sort of trivia during dinner time! Might have to pack trivial pursuit to get our trivia fix.

We will also play a lot of cards (canasta, hand and foot, 45's, eukre, hearts, oh hell, etc) and are bringing a few games that pack well (I think Dominion, Lost Cities, Ticket to Ride the card game, and a few others).
