Thanks Dee47 for taking the time to arrange the brunch. We have done dinner and the tea and now we are looking forward to the brunch.

Awwwww! Thanks for the welcomes! :grouphug: You may not want me to come out of my shell... IRL I'll talk to a tree or a potted plant. It's just online that I turn into a wallflower.

We'd love nametags - I'll try to update our info on the spreadsheet tonight. We are super excited about the cruise. We booked on the first day and it seems hard to believe that it's right around the corner. I'm spending way too much time online, doing everything from reading menus to lurking here. My DD even told me the other day that I'm thinking way too much about the Mickey Cruise and that I should focus on work more. :rotfl2:

We're trying to figure out excursions and the like now (and what the kids will deal with versus melt down on). This will be our first trip to Europe since 2002 and our first trip abroad since we had our twins, but somehow I think our past MO of church tours and museums will not amuse the under-five set.

I am definitely planning on doing the Castaway 5K (and have been lurking on all those threads on the main board). I was thinking of doing my longer runs on the ship only so that I didn't lose a couple of hours of "tush-in-lounge-chair-with-pina-colada-in-hand" time that day (trust me, I'm FAR lazier than my running would imply :rotfl:).

Did I read somewhere that there's going to be a Bunco game one day?????!!!!

Coming out of my shyness-induced lurkerdom to find out if there are any runners planning on doing longer runs during the cruise. I'm hoping to do at least two in the 12 - 14 mile range and the thought of running 36 laps around the deck is mindboggling so I'm trolling for company!

This thread is the best - I read pretty much daily but am pretty shy online so I haven't posted (save for once, months ago, after a glass of wine for courage!). Can't believe we're less than a month out!!!

(Cruising w/ DH Jeff; DD Abby princess: (5); DD Cara princess: (3); DS Drew pirate: (3); and DMIL Sharon :littleangel: <- for putting up with our crew

Welcome :cool1: We look forward to meeting you although due to knee problems I won't be joining you in any running :flower3:

I am an RN, not a gender-reassignment surgeon :rotfl:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

...Are you doing the serious bike one?

Seriously, NO! It better be flat for me - and it helps if its in my living room.

...Did I read somewhere that there's going to be a Bunco game one day?????!!!!...

Yes. My sister saw the list and said, "Aren't you supposed to play with 16 people?"

I told her we were only planning on one BUNCO event and it really didn't matter if we played it exactly right. If you don't get to move to all the tables, does it really matter? And it's not like we are trying to keep the numbers down because we are playing in someone's home.

It shouldn't matter if we have 40, right? More important is that the number of people who show up to play is a multiple of 4 (that's a table).

The list of those signed up to play is on the website.

I am thinking that 1:00pm on Sea Day 5 might be a good time to play. But if Ducky Williams is talking, that would take precedence. :goodvibes

Speaking of Sea Days,

I got an email today confirming the dinner.

April 15th, at 6:00 PM

Also please inform the following Guests that their independent Palo Reservation has been removed from their reservations due to dining in the Private Room.

Steve

Adi

Jennifer

Elizabeth

So we got it for the 15th instead of the 16th. What a way to spend tax day, on a cruise having dinner at Palo's!

I really wish we could have flown out the night before, that would have been my preference, but we got pretty good rates for the five of us using Disney air and I don't think we had a choice. Looking forward to meeting you all on the cruise!!
.
We had Disney book our air and we are flying out Friday. We are staying at All Star Music Friday night--booked by DCL and will take the DCL bus to the port on Saturday. It was reasonably priced and relieved our anxiety about missing the ship due to an airplane delay.
.

Several times during a cruise I will set my alarm for about 3AM. I call room service to order a pot of coffee and oatmeal raisin cookies .... just because I can! :woohoo:

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Just checked on line and DCL hasn't moved our Palo reservations yet, so if you are looking to pick up any cancelled ones, they haven't happened yet. Keep checking! :thumbsup2

The small tables of late night snacks set up outside the adult/bar area and near Promonade Lounge. About 10:45-11PM ish. I've moseyed back to my room with a plate of chicken wings, or chocolate covered strawberries, or little sandwiches and tarts on more than one occasion. :thumbsup2

.

This is the only time I've ever liked white chocolate covered strawberries - YUM!

Free drinks on formal night. Still can't believe it took me till my 3rd cruise to realize these drinks are free!!!

Match Your Mate and Magic Quest (Adult Savenger Hunt) - They are both on night one and both not to miss. We always laugh so hard at both of these activities!!!

Oh and my husbands personal favorite, the pastry treats in the Cove Cafe. Again something we did not know were free until our 3rd cruise.

I did not know the pastry treats were free... I will most definately have a little taste on this cruise. Funny little note - on our last cruise in December, we were enjoying some chicken fingers when a nice little older lady came over to us and asked how much did it cost for the chicken. I told her all the food on the ship was included with the fare so she said - darn I wish I would have knew this sooner. She thought all the food other then what was being served in the dining room would cost her extra. She then told us it was her first cruise ever. :upsidedow

Finally got all caught up reading the posts. I've in at training for two days and have been too tired at night to get to all the posts.

Someone mentioned free drinks on formal night. Where and how do I get one?

I bought my reveal gift yesterday but still have to get the other stuff - :goodvibes

I have three days off though tomorrow is a bust as I'm having an mri. I take ativan so that I won't freak out in the tube so driving for the day is a no no. My friend will literally take the keys out of my hands once I get us to the mri place. Then she's taking my ipod itouch so she can play the games while I'm in the tube :lmao: This (mri, key and ipod snatching) will replay itself next Tuesday and Friday as well.

Kristi

There's a party with the captain in the atrium before dinner(s) and they serve drinks there.

Don't know if any of our group is from Louisiana, but I made my very first seafood gumbo tonight!!! We used to live in Texas and my BIL lives in Lafayette, LA so we love cajun food. Happy to say that I didn't burn the roux and the gumbo is delish! :)

I was alarmed to see that the crowds are expected to be really large on Friday. But that's ok! I am going to take it slow and smell the roses. We are planning dinner at Wilderness Lodge to take a break from the park, but I have high hopes that I will be able to hit all of my Must-Dos.

Yes the crowds will be large, but I think as long as you know in advance & that's what you're expecting, it won't be so bad.:cloud9:

Just get to the park for rope drop - they do a really cute pre-opening show at around 8:40, definitely worth seeing - do FPs and have fun. My suggestion is to FP a "mountain" ride at park opening and then head over to Fantasyland and hit those rides b/c Fantasyland is always the busiest part of the park.

Yay! I'm so excited for you! Can't wait to hear about how you liked your first day at MK :goodvibes

Thanks for posting. I checked this evening & still no brunches available...will keep checking as people get cancelled though!

Best of luck on your MRI tomorrow

DH noticed online this afternoon that Palo brunch ressies were available, but did he grab one? NOOOOOO! By the time I got home from work, all were taken. I'm not happy! (But I'll be nice....I have a feeling we can book on board...and he's just a great guy otherwise:littleangel:)

Welcome back Brack!

My group is also flying Swiss Air on Sunday (to DC) and I was very pleased by how generous their baggage policy is. I don't plan on checking two bags each, but it nice to know I can if my spending gets a little out of control.:woohoo:

Hi, I think I may be on the same flight. Does anyone have hotel idea? THANKS

Well ours for 4/22 11:30a (2 people) was still listed on the CC page an hour or so ago....so keep trying! It could be that the info there just isn't updated right away however.
